The stay was fairly good. One gripe was the lack of a coffee maker in the room. When we asked about this they said it was because of fire laws - we checked this out and that is not true. The big problem was when we went to check out and there was a restaurant charge on our bill that was not ours. When we complained they took it off but made us sign something saying that they would investigate and if they determined it was ours it would appear back on our credit card. Sure enough, 5 days later we received a new charge. Since we had never been in that restaurant and had charged nothing to our room that day it was a fake charge. When we charged anything to our room you would give your room number and and sign a slip and usually (not always) asked for an ID. After the charge was put back on the credit card, we called the hotel and asked to see the slip proving the charge. They said they did not have the slip and told us we would have to call the restaurant to get it. We did so and they said they would investigate. We heard nothing from them. BE VERY CAREFUL TO CHECK YOUR BILL BUT IF THERE ARE INCORRECT CHARGES GOOD LUCK GETTING THEM TO TAKE RESPONSIBILITY!

Best part is the valet. Front desk attendant smirks at our dismay when we arrive after check in and room isn’t ready. Then we get to room and we essentially back up into parking lot. Have to keep curtains drawn all day. Feels like being underground. Would not change room even tho we are paying top rate and made reservations thru travel agent. The decor is horrible. Smell in lobby awful. Pool full of kids with no lane for laps. I know. It’s Vegas. Tried to avoid the noise of the strip but now regretting that decision. What did I expect. Avoid.

Service was excellent, staff was excellent! Restaurants and food court were awesome! Love my Starbucks! The room was a little outdated but suited our needs. Only wished there would’ve been a pool heater 😢

Had the perfect relaxing time away from everything with a friend at Green Valley Ranch. Our goal was pool time and relaxation: check. Ate some delicious food at great restaurants right in the resort: check. Won some money playing slots: check.

We loved our stay in the hotel. It has a character of its own and is beautifully decorated. The staff are genuinely friendly and helpful. It’s very clean and the beds are comfortable and the bedding is of great quality. Lucky Penny coffee shop has delicious pastries and there’s a good variety of eateries. The gardens are beautiful, there’s a lot of areas to sit and enjoy and the pool area is spotless. I felt very safe swimming with the lifeguards and the sandy beach area is great for small children. The whole atmosphere of the hotel is very relaxing and the Casino has everything you need. This is a fantastic hotel away from the strip and all its problems. We felt very safe walking around the whole Green Valley area and there’s great shops like Pottery Barn and many different restaurants like Cheesecake Factory and Lucille’s to enjoy. We had a fantastic view of the snow falling on the mountains and views of the strip at night- which isn’t far away.

First stay at GVR. Excellent stay & experience. Staff is super friendly. Our room was Gorgeous- one bedroom suite #4033 west tower. Minor problem drain in shower slow, left note for housekeeper/ problem resolved same day. Hotel grounds breathtaking & beautiful. Room view spectacular. Parking valet is the best- text before heading downstairs, car waiting. Lots of great options to eat on property. We took a chance for once to stay off the strip & it was worth it. We can’t wait to come back to GVR.

This is probably my favorite off strip casino! They have great restaurants and I love them all! The location is right next to the district which you can just walk over with more shops and restaurants and a nice stroll.

We really enjoyed this hotel in staying with children to be away from the strip. The rooms are starting to show some age on them. When we first arrived the stopper in the sink was down and my husband had to crawl under the sink to raise it because the lever was broken. The towel rod fell off randomly. But housekeeping sent somebody to fix it (we did not mention either of these issues to anybody as they were minor). But there were some stains and wear on the bed skirt and curtains. Nothing major. The staff does try to maintain everything and every staff member we encountered was very nice. Also thought it was weird our hallway and elevators were always cold. I will say I did not like the smell in the casino and hallways. Not sure if it was their cleaning products or what. We had hoped to let the kids swim but it was too cold during our stay so we were pretty disappointed we didn’t get to check that out. Food places we ate were average (we had some stuff from the food court and the Mexican place).

We have been coming to GVR for over 15 years. Always had a great experience. But there has been a huge change. It appears GVR now only wants the Nevada locals business. There were signs up all over the casino that Wednesday and Sunday were 20 times Point days on the casino games plus half price dining, % discounts, etc. To our surprise we were told those benefits are for "Nevada residents only". We are paying for the hotel, a $51/day resort fee, eating in the restaurants and gambling in the casino but we are not looked upon as valued customers. It seems discriminatory and very off putting to realize that not being a local you pay a penalty. Whoever thought of that marketing policy? Guess we will choose another resort next month for our visit.
