I made a reservation for this hotel a few weeks in advance as I was moving from Arizona to Oregon. When I arrived at the hotel around 9pm, I was greeted by a nice girl at the front desk. She was quick and helpful, made conversation and gave recommendations on food in the area. I went up to my room which was small but the perfect size for me. It had a queen bed, keurig coffee maker, and a large tv. The bathroom was tiny but very well kept, and functional. The view to the street was very cool, the neon signs reminded me of Christmas lights. I slept well and departed around 6am the next morning (Easter Sunday). A breakfast at dennys is included but I wasn't able to take advantage since I left so early. I dropped the keys off and chatted for a minute with the lady at the front desk, we both agreed that it was so quiet it didn't even feel like Easter. This hotel is old, but is a very cool historic building and has thay cool old time charm. If I'm ever in the area I'll definitely stay here again. Thank you for being open and a nice resting point on a long journey during a crazy time!…
We were in need of a bed as we traveled. At first we thought oh no as it looked really old and possibly run down. It was a wonderful place to stay! The room was spotless, bed comfortable. The room was designed so well. Multiple places to charge your phones, laptop etc. It has a Dennys on site but no breakfast was offered due to Covid.the hallways are a literal museum no wall is untouched by memorabilia or murals.
Real Nevada. Casino, bar & cafe downstairs. Rooms are small (it's a historic hotel), but well arranged & appointed. Beds are great. Rates give it a great value. About as centrally located as is possible, it's good for exploring Ely & it's lovely murals. Bar downstairs has plenty of local color, too.
We have been coming here for over 20 years. Love this place. The room we got was recently re-done and it was fine! The staff were very friendly, as usual. We had dinner from Denny's. My husband raved about the sirloin steak and I had the chicken fried steak which was also good. They gave us a complimentary "grand slam" breakfast which was great as it got us fed up before our long trip home.
Had a great stay! Excellent location, easy parking/check in, and room was nicely updated and very clean/comfortable. Expectations and value were exceeded (welcome drinks & great breakfast) the wife I both said we wouldn't mind coming back with Ely as our destination as a secret getaway instead of just a quick stop over; all because of Hotel Nevada!
