My husband I chose this hotel for the history and charm. It was built in 1929, and they have kept with the style and charm of it's beginning. The building architecture is very cool. You don't see buildings like this anymore. The street is super cute. The water pressure, in the shower, was amazing!!!! It was very clean and the... More

This hotel staff is way too cool; is that because it is snowing outside? I don't think so, just cool people. After our 7 days of enjoying the Cowboy Poetry Gathering in Elko, NV it was time to move on. It was a trippy 4 hour drive from Elko because we took the mountain roads to Ely caught in the... More

Stayed two nights in the Vicki Carr room......very clean room, large oversized four poster queen bed. This suite had a very modern flat screen tv mounted high (perfect) a mini fridge, microwave, and coffeemaker. Solid wi-fi, and laundry room down the hall. Ice (plentiful) on every other floor. Restaurant served large portions (prime rib was perfectly done) for very reasonable... More

First of all I love old buildings. I really appreciate when they are preserved as close to original as possible. Personally, I like stepping back in time a bit to when things were a little more simple. And this place has that. I loved our room: 606 Hoot Gibson. My mom watched his movies so it was neat for me... Terrible made reservations early in day. Two beds one kid one pet. Confirmed non smoking as I have asthma issues. Get there 5:30 which check I not till after 4 and they had two beds no pet or two smoking right. So we get the benefit of one bed with roll way in room too small to move anywhere everything... More

We have stopped at Hotel Nevada twice a year for years traveling back and forth from Idaho. The place is a kick old west at its best. We have never been disappointed with their rooms clean, well stocked, and quiet. Have a great dinner, play in the casino and go to bed. It is a one stop shop. I would... More

My road trip down Route 66 scuttled by an incoming storm front from New Mexico, I decide to abort and head home. After a long day of driving, I find myself on Highway 50, the Loneliest Road in America and the Hotel Nevada and Gambling Hall in downtown Ely. Built in 1929 and loving restored decade or so ago, the... More

We decided to drive over to Ely and spend Christmas Eve and Christmas Day despite the forecast of snow storms. Wow, this was really turned out to be a great idea! The crew was very jovial and appreciated our business. Unlike, this other Casino in Ely, that had a very unfriendly staff that did not want to be there, due... More

I stayed here 2 times on my trip on going and one returning. The stay going was not planned, I had gotten a late start and arrived in Ely in the dark. I had another 150 miles to go before getting to my reserved hotel, but road conditions were changing and the trip purpose was to see sights and in... More

I ordered a country fried steak breakfast, the food was served with a tiny piece of meat and fryer scraps hidden by gravy. server took it off the bill, as no one would eat it , had an excellent meal the nigh prior, it was a side salad, !
