Back in the day, we'd cruise through town on a road trip left purposely a little loose, see the local mom-and-pop motels and inns, and wonder if the inside and experience was as nice (or charming, or at least neutrally benign) as what the outside seemed. Not shilling, but now with services like TripAdvisor, we can all know -- as...

Frustrated after everything in town was full, with the exception of one very basic motel in town that jacked up their rate to $250 for the night. Finally happened upon this lovely little motel. Not only were the rooms very clean, but they stuck to their usual reasonable prices and the owner was fantastic! Very, very pleased and would definitely...

We love staying at motels when we are on the road. It is such a nice alternative to the usual chain offerings. The Mill House is fabulous. Conveniently located, clean & spacious. The bed and bedding were great, the WIFI worked well. I just couldn't complain about anything. It was a cold night but the heater pumped happily and kept...

Motorcycling through Carson City looking for a place to stay I just barely noticed the Mill House Inn out of the corner of my eye and we turned around to check it out. We were greeted by the owner in the office and we had a very nice conversation and were later joined by the spouse - both very pleasant...

This is a lovely basic motel, family-run, friendly folks, very clean, and good beds! Not sure why it's listed under B'n'B as they offer coffee but not breakfast. Includes Wi-fi.We paid $55 for the night - a bargain!

I stayed there about 15 years ago, and again on July 3. Very nice, clean, well maintained motel, with small pool for the kids, nice grass in the center area, and even some cottontails hopping around. Rooms were large, nice bathroom, modern TV. I've always liked the old cinderblock construction for motels. Good location too, as there are plenty of...
