It did the job. Whilst it has no spa or pool like at the Stagecoach the room was better. It is a dated and a little expensive given that there is no breakfast but the room seemed clean. It's a reasonable stop for a single night if your expectations are not too high.

Classic 50'/60's in town roadside motel maintained with care- clean [!] and everything worked [especially the air conditioning]. Owners great at averting and solving problems, providing local tips, maintaining peace and quiet. In late, out early, place was just fine for start to death valley.

This reminded me so much of staying in motels as a child in the 1960's--which is not altogether a bad thing. It was obviously quite dated, but clean. I wish they would add lotion to their "amenities" in the bathroom. The desk staff was very nice. As another reviewer said, you are indeed in the middle of nowhere, which I... More

The outside looks dated but they fixed up the rooms. New beds just a little more detailed cleaning could be done. The price was right for what you receive. The town is small with a busy bar across the street for a night cap!

I had read several positive reviews of this little hotel in Beatty, which factored into my decision to stay in Beatty, instead of stopping for the night in Vegas (I was on way to Reno and wanted to get as far along as possible). I do not understand how this place is ranked #2. The other places in Beatty must... More

First off you have to realize this hotel is located in a small town in the middle of nowhere Nevada. Taking that into consideration I was quite pleased with my stay. The rooms were larger than expected and were mostly cleanish. Our room was older and the shower needed some attention but overall the stay was satisfactory.

We arrived in Beatty at dusk and found the lobby closed for the day. However, I’m pleasantly surprised to find a note attached to the door with my name on it, asking me to ring the bell. Despite the late hour, the guy who came out was very polite and friendly while explaining our no-frills check-out procedures tomorrow. He even... More

In 2016 I think it is not acceptable to find died insects in the room. Not 1 but several. Besides this the beds were clean and comfortable . We received a very good advise where to stay for the dinner. Position to visit the Dead Valley is fine but maybe it makes sense to drive directly to Las Vegas.

My husband and I were moving to Reno & couldn't quite make it that far up the road. We decided to stay in Beatty, a cute little town, respite from the desert for a while. The Exchange Club was personable from the start; we called in advance to see if they'd allow cats (imagine moving across country with a cat,... More

We stayed here on a Saturday night at the end of February. It was an unplanned trip to Death Valley to view the wildflower superbloom and most hotels in and around the park were showing as sold out. This hotel too was showing as sold out on most travel sites, but when I went to the hotel website directly, I... More
