My husband I stayed here fo our 10th anniversary. It was an amazing getaway for the weekend. Everything was very clean, and thoughtful. We had breakfast delivered daily and it was extremely tasty. We also dined in the restaurant and the food is incredible. One of the best tastes of meat loaf and juiciest burgers I’ve ever had! The location is very private and nestled in farmland Alberta. Such a great getaway location.
My wife and I stayed over Labor Day weekend and enjoyed a relaxing and peaceful stay at the lodge. The host (Lesa) was friendly, accommodations were clean and breakfast was tasty. As a bonus, the fishing at the private lake was terrific!
Traveling from Rocky Mtn. Nat. Park toward St. Louis, we sought a scenic stopover for two days. We happened upon the Prairie Creek Inn as one of the best overall places to stay when rate, location, amenities, and safety are important (after reviewing 20+ options). To our sweet delight, we learned the owners dedicated this place to help God's people and others find restoration and peace! As a just-retired pastor and wife my wife being an RN often caring for Covid patients, we relished every moment of our stay here! Owners Bruce & Maureen moved a 100+-year-old-home to this farmland, gutted and then restored it tastefully & historically, and are active in serving the Walton and Lincoln communities in many ways. Innkeeper Lesa gave us much time and care, including giving us the inspiring story behind this remarkable Inn! We hope to recruit our dearest friends to join us at this beloved Inn in the not-too-distant future.…
Overall a great experience. We were greeted warmly by the housekeeper, who kindly gave us a tour of the entire property. We stayed on the main floor of the Cottage House. It was clean and comfortable. We utilized the full kitchen to be able to cook our own meals rather than having to go into town for dinner. The king bed was comfortable and the jacuzzi tub was a great bonus! We spent quite a bit of time fishing (catching a wide variety of catfish, bass, and bluegill), enjoyed a fire in the fire pit by the lake, and walked some of the nature trails. We only met Bruce and Maureen briefly, but they were friendly hosts and the breakfasts were delicious. It was a wonderful spot for a weekend getaway.
This property does not care about the health and wellbeing of their guests. I faced a medical emergency and a highly contagious and deadly disease, they chose not to refund my reservation money. I guess I should have gone and spread disease to all their guests. All of their communications to me were patronizing, snarky, and rude. Absolutely terrible people.
