Shady camping spots, full working hookups. Really liked the care takers, very helpful. Nicest campground we've been to. RV's not so close you feel encroached on, Highly recommend you staying here. Price was reasonable right off I-80. Gravel sites & roads.

Quick overnight stay in RV traveling to Oregon - nice clean well maintained family owned RV campsite - would recommend and would stay again. Close to interstate - easy off and on. Price was good and the sites were good size.

Great place to camp! We enjoyed the family owned and operated Double Nickel campground. The owners live on site. The campground is well cared for and they are making updates. They have lots for the kids to do. It is just off the interstate for those traveling. The price was great. We will be back!

My family and I stayed at the Double Nickel Campground and was so impressed with Amanda and Jeff's warm hospitality, beautiful grounds, convenient rv hookups, and variety of fun opportunities for children and adults. It is a welcomed spot that I highly recommend!

This was a lovely quiet , clean campground. The sites are pretty and spacious. We really enjoyed having our own swing! We arrived too late to enjoy the pool, but it looked great! Garbage pick up at each site was an added convenience. We wished we could have stayed longer.

Spacious campsites and clean quiet campground. The folks that operate the place are very friendly. They have a nice pool and laundry room. We enjoyed watching golfers tee off at course next to camp. We stayed 3 nights.

We stopped here overnight on our way back from a 3-week trip to South Dakota. We had to change our route at the last minute due to flooding issues in Iowa, so we contacted them only two days prior to arriving. We were booked onto a nice pull-through site with a swing. Unfortunately we arrived too late to use the pool, but the kids loved the playground and catching all the lightning bugs. It is very close to the highway, so there is road noise, but in our book that was super convenient, as we were just passing through. We debated staying an extra night so we could spend a down day and visit Homestead National Site just an hour away, but chose to keep going so we could get home. The owners are incredibly nice people, and it's clear through talking with them that they care very much about their property (they even have an accessibility lift for the pool, which you don't find in most campgrounds). They take security very seriously as it's so close to the highway, and live onsite. The campground is clean and perfect for our needs. Highly recommend either for an overnight or for a weekend.

We’ve been RVing for six years and this is our 1st trip to the Midwest. We hit the jackpot after 3 days of long driving with our stay at Double Nickel Campground! We arrived on July 1st of the 4th of July holiday. Our hosts were so welcoming and helpful we felt like a guest in their home. That care continued thru the 3 days we stayed there. It is a beautiful setting with gorgeous views of green grass and lovely trees. The touch of each site having a lovely wooden swing for two and a fire pit made watching the dances of the fire flies at night amazing. The property is an easy find and there is lots to do at the park with swim pool, miniature golf, game room, kids playground and summer outdoor movies. There is also a 9 hole golf course (not part of the park) right next door. This property is the home of the lovely owners who show great pride in their home and made our stay exceptional.

We stopped here for one night on our way to Grand Rapids Michigan. It is a beautiful campground near a golf course. The dog park was fenced in, clean, and our dogs had fun running around. There was a lot of rain and it was rather muddy but we were able to walk around and noticed the RV spots are roomy. Wish we had more time to stay so we will probably be back.

We stayed at his campground in August 2018 on a trip from RMNP. I have run across campgrounds with good reviews that are not accurate but not this one. The Double Nickel is the real deal. You need to stay here if you need a campground on I-80 in NE. We have crossed NE many times traveling to and from RMNP and Yellowstone and have stayed in many of the campgrounds on the route. This is my top pick for campgrounds. The sites are big with picnic tables and big swings. The is a leash-free dog play area, a swimming pool and much more. The whole place is very clean and extremely well maintained. The family who own the campground are super helpful and customer oriented. We will stay here again many times.
