Trade Winds is your standard motel, but we were super impressed with the cleanliness of property and our room! Not sure I have seen a lodging bathroom so clean before! Only down spot was shower head - really good pressure but the streams point all sorts of directions! Due to COVID, breakfast was not awesome, but we'd stay again!

Great place to stay. Clean room, large, and just perfect. Like stepping back into the 60s. The lady running the place was great and gave us wonderful dinner recommendations for the Peppermill. Two of us got the chicken fried steak and split it. Oh wait that’s another review. Really enjoyed staying here and since we had our electric bikes with us it was so nice to be able to back up right to the door of the room. Would not hesitate to stay here again.

It is a pleasant quiet motel for one night. Check-in was fast and friendly, the rooms are clean and the beds are full size vs. queen. The shower is separate from the sink which is convenient but the shower is a water saver and it had low pressure. The breakfast consisted of you make waffles, cereal, toast, yogurt and biscuits, and gravy, coffee, milk. There were folded cheese omelets that could be warmed in the microwave.

I am usually hesitant to stay in non-chain hotels & motels because often it seems they are old and run down. But the Trade Winds Motel in Valentine, NE had such good reviews that I booked a night there. Very warm reception upon our arrival. Extremely comfortable and spacious room. The bed was exceptionally comfortable. We did not hear anything from our neighbors. The continental breakfast was good. They sell bags of ice in the office that were extremely reasonable. We also recommend dinner at the Peppermill Restaurant. Delicious food, great service, reasonable prices.

Comfortable clean place to stop for the night. Our room was spacious and quiet. I like the big windows in front of each unit. The AC worked well and the shower got hot. Breakfast included biscuits and gravy, waffles, cheese omelets, yogurt, oatmeal, toast, and maybe a couple other things. Enough to get us started.
