See above. Approximately '4' young gentlemen was not social distancing, laughing and sneezing around the breakfast bar and staff did not intervene and advise them to distance themselves. Similarly, when I returned from duty that evening, a number of men were in this area doing the same thing with no staff advising them of the Lodge's COVID policies.

I am sorry you were disappointed with your stay with us at The Niobrara Lodge. We have many signs posted about social distancing but if there is a group of people that are together and are traveling together we typically do not intervene.

What a wonderful place to stay! The rooms were very clean and quiet. The breakfast bar was very nice and served a little longer than usual. The staff was very friendly and helpful; even helped us with dinner recommendations for delivery to the lodge. Will we stay here again? Absolutely!

Stayed here on a golf buddies trip Sept 24-28, 2020. The exterior of the building is nice enough and the lady at the front desk was great. The room (220) was just your normal/average hotel room. But I had 2 issues with the room...1) the mattress on the bed I had, needed replaced. It had a definte 'valley' in the middle. If you tried sleeping on either edge of the bed, you would sort of roll to the center low spot on the mattress. Led to a few rough nights of sleep. 2)when we got to the room, the shower looked a little dirty. Almost as if someone had cleaned something that was dusty, in the shower. after turning on the water and rinsing it off, it was fine. But the water pressure was poor and the shower head needs replaced as the water was not directed right down on the person showering, some sprayed down, some sprayed out too far to hit the person showering. To me, this was a $75 a night room. Not as nice as it could have been.

Thank you for your recent review and rating of your stay with us at The Niobrara Lodge. We will definitely look in to the bed in the room you stayed in and will look in to the cleaning of the room prior to your stay. Please feel free to draw our attention to your concerns (especially the shower) and I know the staff would have addressed it immediately. We hope you come back and see us again!

Room was decent and clean, average items in room like tv/microwave/fridge. Bed was ok and room had lots of pillows, which I like so that was nice. Breakfast was packaged cinnamon rolls and breakfast burritos, yogurt, & cereal, also decent for covid conditions. Abellin at the front desk checking us in was extremely friendly, however the morning lady was not. Acted like an inconvenience to unlock the “heated” pool. Well I guess everything just say indoor pool, it definitely is NOT heated. It was ice cold, spent a few minutes in the hot tub and left. Overall it was a good stay but I would probably stay elsewhere just because it was not worth $130 for the night.

I came here to write a long review but discovered that Greg W took the exact words out of my mouth with his review dated 8/28/2020. We stayed at the same time period evidently as I have the identical photo of the trash that he does. Our experience was identical....except with didn't get sex toys with our room. Bummer....Just kidding obviously.....But ya...I would struggle with recommending anyone else to stay here unless I gave them a few warnings first. Maybe when Covid isn't putting restrictions on our lives things would be better? But I don't see how Covid prevents trash from being removed from the vending area after 4 days of sitting there. Or from fully stocking a room with extra essentials like Soap and Towels when you know you won't be around to furnish the guests with more the next day.
