10 unique rooms in different houses at our farm hotel. Close to the river with many waterfalls and lakes. Close to trails in the mountains and "Fossestien" along the river. Not far from the Sognefjorden, Dalsfjorden and Førdefjorden. A peaceful place, lika a hidden treasure in the middle of the Fjord-Norway area!

We found this place while looking for a place to stay. It looked nice on pictures, but it looks even more amazing in real life. This have been the best night of our trip in Norway. Combine all of this with a very good home made breakfast in stunning views and you know where to stay on your next trip.

I stopped here with a group for an afternoon visit and delicious offering of desserts. I did not stay at the property. The owners were very nice to spend time with us and explain the history of the buildings and the area. The river location was ideal. The B & B facilities looked very pleasant and it is a place where I would stay if I return to the area. A highlight of the visit was talking to the owner about his sheep and seeing him locate them on a hillside across the river using GPS.

We have just returned from an amazing two night stay at Flatheim. Everything about our stay was spot on! Our room was decorated beautifully and the setting was magical. Sigord was a brilliant host! Even the drive from Bergen was lovely. This was our first time driving in Norway, once you get about 30 mins out of Bergen, the whole
drive is mountains and lakes, the countryside is so picturesque!

The room had everything we needed. The breakfast consisted of various breads, fruits, cereals, crackers, vegetables etc as well as fresh eggs from the chickens on the farm. It was all delicious! We really enjoyed chatting to Sigord, he gave some great advice about day trips and walks. We also loved the cats and chickens! I highly recommend a stay here!

Flatheim is about an hour from Balestrand which is probably the closest tourist town and has a number of walks, however there are a number of walks and amazing waterfalls very close to Flatheim. There is also an amazing viewing platform about 5-10k away from Flatheim.

By far our favorite lodging during our 10 day travels through Norway. Off the beaten trail, away from cruise ship crowds. The upper apartment is beautifully designed....so cozy! The adjacent Croft has been moved to the property, and has wonderful history, as does the main farmhouse. I loved that the photos in the breakfast room show Heidi’s ancestors’, the builders of the original house. Property is along a lovely mountain stream....and there were kittens when we visited! Our only regret is only having one night to stay! What a delight to have discovered Flatheim!

We traveled with our 2 young adult children and shared a large room with plenty of space. The family took us to the end of the trail so that we saved time backtracking and enjoyed more of the waterfalls. The breakfast was delicious. We enjoyed the glass house by the river and seeing all of the farm animals.

I loved staying here. The owners were very nice and accommodating. Property is absolutely gorgeous. Beds were comfy! Free wifi. Highly recommend staying here. Ducks, lambs, bunnies, and cats hanging out in the property. The kittens were a cute surprise. Førde is the next closest town with restaurants, but it's about an hour away.

On a trip to Norway discovers the fjords what a pleasure to stop at Flatheim farm a warm welcome by the housemaster who will be at our care throughout the stay. MAdame's cuisine is local and refined with local products highlighted. The setting is magical. The silence is just clouded by the sound of the river. The room is perfect and cozy a real haven of peace for a long time I had felt this way. If you pass stop but book first there is little room.

Very familiar and cozy guest house. In the middle of nature, it is a less touristy area despite having a typically Norwegian enclave between mountains, forests, and waterfalls.
The house has several rooms spread throughout the private land, we had a quadruple room in the attic. The staircase was perhaps a little dangerous to go with children and it was right above the breakfast room, so as soon as the first diners entered, it was impossible to sleep, but it is also true that at 8am the sun and the journey invite you to continue the route. The homemade breakfast with breads, jams, cheeses, cold cuts, eggs, cereals and wonderful local products. The private bathroom for each room is in another space, I missed a hairdryer despite requesting it from a family member.
It has a beautiful walk through the nearby forest and waterfalls to spend a quiet time. It is true that it is remote and does not have restaurants nearby. Shop and gas station about 10-15 minutes by car.
It has been a pleasure to stay in this house, since you know another beautiful area and despite being a little far from your initial route we have enjoyed it. A bit high price, but like everything in this country.

Clearly, we got the destination and the formula wrong. However, everything was clearly indicated in the description: 9m2 room for two beds (frankly very small and not very comfortable), two floors to go down to share, in the cellar, a rather modern bathroom, and a geographical position which requires you to a lot of km to get to tourist sites of interest, in short, we were warned and….we didn't like it!!! Small additional downside, we had clearly asked the person who welcomed us upon our arrival if we could benefit from breakfast at 7:30 a.m. (instead of the 8 a.m. scheduled, which was very late for our liking), no news, no response, we We left a little before 8 a.m. without having our breakfast even though it was included in the price of the room, not great!!! In short, the approach and the formula seem sincere, the owner is friendly but this so-called “authentic” formula is not made for us.
