Detailed Reviews
Upon arrival, we were welcomed by Marisa, who was both respectful, upbeat and certainly “knew her stuff”. Our room was a new one, I’d call it country chic. It was gorgeous, complete with terry cloth robes, high-end bedding, and huge tiled shower. Extremely quiet and comfortable....large beautiful windows over looked a cool pasture. We were pleased to be able to order dinner from their Sand Bar n had it delivered to our room. Breakfast to go the next day was the best yet, complete with large gourmet muffins. Yummy! This place has a lot of amenities and is 5*!!! We will be back!!

We were very impressed by our room 264 in the new addition. Very spacious, comfy beds and overall a great value! We visited some of the other rooms as we had other family members staying in the older additions and those rooms were also nice. Glad to have bottles of water and Keurig coffee maker.

This hotel was priced as an average hotel but the service, the rooms and the overall atmosphere was expensive! Everyone who greeted us was so friendly. They checked in on us to make sure everything was perfect. The 'bagged breakfast' was fantastic! We stayed in the family suite which had bunk beds with a paw patrol theme! My kids went nuts! The king size bed was the most comfortable I have ever slept on. The room was spacious and extremely clean. The attached resturant had delicious well priced food. My kids loved the pizza. I wouldn't ever want to stay anywhere else.

I am from the Midwest and appreciate midwestern hospitality. This was not what I got at the front desk, which surprised me. We got into our enormous room that looked very nice until you got up close and realized how filthy it was. I ran my finger over the desk in the room and it was dusty. In the sunlight, it was clear the leather chairs had not been wiped down in decades. They were gross. When we asked for a different room that was not dirty the front desk staff was rude, so we just left and went to the Holiday Inn Express.

My wife and I went back and forth on rating our stay. She said two stars, I felt more generous at three. They are advertised as a lodge, though the only lodge aspect is the entry. The room is nice enough, though the windows could not be opened. The outdoor areas are ok, nothing special. Breakfast was a slight upgrade from your Marriott offering. The Divots brewery and restaurant were closed (Sunday), which was a big disappointment. On the outskirts, so you need to drive a couple miles to get downtown. Clean, but lacked any atmosphere. Not sure why it gets the high rating, just not for us.

The room I was guaranteed was not available upon arrival. In fact the motel does not have a handicap room which is a drive up to the room. The first room they tried to put me in had a tub and no walk in handicap shower. The room was dirty in areas and I hate to know what was spilled and not cleaned up on the desk. The rooms were quite run downed with marks on the walls and scratches on the furniture. There were no bathrobes as described in the advertisement

The hotel is beautiful!!! We were very impressed with the friendly front desk people. Our room was on the 3rd floor and very quiet. It was very clean with with so much space. The bed was super comfortable too. We highly recommend this hotel and will definitely stay here again.

This is our second time staying at The Lodge, and both experiences were very good. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. The rooms are very spacious, and very very clean. My daughter enjoyed using the pool. The pool and hottub were both very good sized. The breakfast choices were fairly limited because of COVID, but what they did have was very good. If you are in this area, the Lodge is an excellent place to stay.

This place is well located and made it easy to get around town. The building looked nice and well kept. My room was very spacious, clean, and the bed was comfortable. It has an attached restaurant and bar attached the hotel. The food I got in the restaurant was prepared well and tasted pretty good.

+1
This hotel is a very nice find in Norfolk. It has a charming Log cabin feel in the lobby. The staff was very nice and eager to help. Check in went very well. The hotel is quite spread out and you will drive to the closer entrance to your room. Rooms are nice, spacious and clean. Bathroom has a great shower.

Thank you for the inquiry. The spa is presently still in the organizational process and hope to be ready to go by late fall. At that time we will look into a package.
Thank you for thinking of us.
I am not sure.. we stayed in a 1 room king bed . So I don’t know that answer. I would all the hotel. It was a nice place, great breakfast!
Hello and thank you for inquiring. Monday through Friday breakfast is 6 AM - 9:30 AM. On Saturday, Sunday, and holidays breakfast is 6:30 - 10:30.
3-5 feet.
We have multiple smoking areas on the property. Wherever you see a Smokers Oasis is a designated smoking area- at three entrances to the hotel, plus we have 12 walk out rooms on ground floor, where there is a door to an internal corridor and one to the exterior. These rooms are often one of our first to be sold out. We allow guests to smoke outside those room, but do request that they keep the door closed so the smoke does not enter the room. We also have a bar and grill on site and there are numerous areas to smoke, outdoor seating areas in four locations.
