We did a short notice one night stay over the bank holiday in a glamping pod. Very reasonably priced for what it is and beautifully designed, we had a great evening and we all said we'd like to go again. Not much to do on the site itself, though there were large groups playing team games which looked fun. The... More

We stayed in Pod 3 for a three night stay during the holidays. The pod wasn't quite ready when we arrived but the cleaning team rallied round and we didn't have too long to wait. The pods have everything you need in them although 3 nights were long enough and we were two adults and one small child, a real... More

We stayed in number 13 Orwell lodge its the 1st lodge that you see when you come in the site it's opposite the on site shop. We arrived hour early but we went into the shop and the lovely lady phoned the owner and within minutes we where shown into our wonderful clean lodge and was shown how to use... More

I stayed here two years ago just as a couple and returned this year with our 7month old. This is a lovely small and quiet site with lots of space for kids to run around, good play area, good shop and the pods are really lovely. As a few other people on here have said a few little changes could... More

We have just returned from a week away staying at a waveney lodge. The lodge was ideal for a base for exploring the likes of Southwold etc as we love this area and the prices are alot more reasonable than trying to stay in Southwold or Walberswick, plus you have the benefit of a hot tub on the balcony which... The lodges and site are mostly well presented, both are clean and spacious and a lot nicer than many of the places we would usually stay at in this department. However there are some improvements I think would really add to the experience. The beds in the twin rooms were very narrow and the duvets on all rooms were very... More

When I was considering how to grade Heathside Lodges, I was unsure whether to grade as 3 or 4 stars. I opted for 3 stars as, although the site and our lodge were absolutely lovely, there are a few improvements that we feel could be made. This was our first holiday to Heathside Lodges and it could be somewhere that... More

My partner and I stayed in a glamping pod for a two night stay. The pod was clean and well presented. The one thing that needs attention are the mattresses. They urgently need upgrading as the springs digging in you make for a poor nights sleep which was a shame. Everyone was friendly and helpful. The shop was well stocked... More

We have stayed on this site for 4 consecutive years now in our touring caravan. We love it as it is so peaceful and in a great location. However, since our first visit it is getting busier with the arrival of camping pods and more to be built. The facilities block is modern and well designed but we are quite... More

Lovely quiet campsite. Well located with Southwold and Walberswick on your doorstep. We camped and pitches were a good size. Amenities are very good with well stocked shop on site. Only issue from a camping perspective which lets the site down slightly is the small number of showers and toilets. However those in pods and lodges obviously have no need... More
