We spent two weeks at the Balcony House on our first hunting trip to Nebraska. Jim and Linda were wonderful hosts and extremely accommodating. Linda is a fantastic cook and prepared delicious breakfasts each morning. Even on the mornings that we opted to leave before breakfast, the coffee was always ready and Linda had delicious muffins, breads or cookies for...

The owners of the Balcony House are 110% invested in every detail of their business. Squeaky clean, cleverly decorated, and spacious rooms invite you to really feel at home. The breakfast recipes rival anything you'd order in a big city bistro. The interesting part of our stay was that the inn keepers weren't even in house. Their charming, warm, and...

What a charming find! This B&B has darling decor in the various rooms, and our room was quite comfortable. Our hostess was delightful. Our breakfast was so delicious that we ordered one of their cookbooks!

Every detail is addressed in this small town gem. The couple that owns the B&B is very knowledgeable in how to run an effective inn. They are also very helpful with local and regional history. Everything first rate

We had driven two days to get to Imperial from California and were ready for a comfortable night's sleep. My Dad and I had never been to a B&B before and had no idea what to expect. We certainly didn't expect to be staying with family-and that's exactly what it felt like! Our room was beautiful. The property was so...

Love this place! I first stayed at the Balcony House about two years ago. It was October and I was traveling this part of the state. It was refreshing to find such a cozy, comfortable place to stay. It felt like home. So, when I got the opportunity to return to Imperial, there was no question where we would stay....

Originally constructed in the late 1880's as the Imperial High School, the building eventually was vacated, fell into disrepair and was finally condemned. In 1997, Jim and Linda Pirog purchased the building and began an extensive renovation. Around 1999, the Balcony House was opened as a lovely B&B close to the heart of Imperial. Each of the five rooms, located...

While my 2 coworkers and I were in Imperial for work, we greatly enjoyed staying at The Balcony House! My room had 2 comfy queen beds, a mini-frig, gas log fireplace, a separate full bathroom and a separate workroom with lots of natural light. Jim is a delight. He handles the paperwork and calls everyone by name. Linda's breakfasts are...
