Had a fantastic weekend together with some 40 other friends when we rented the whole place. Great location, great surroundings and very friendly hosts who helped us organize a lot of activities locally. Still, the absolute highlight was the fantastic dinner and party the arranged for us in the old ironworks nearby. A truly world class experience!
We rented one whole house of the hostel for 2 familys. The personel was really looking out for our best and helped out in every possible way with tips and a helping hand + the extra mile. The breakfast was awesome and had even flexibility( we got extra pancakes). Walking distance to 2 different cross-country-skiing-tracks. Cute village.
Super wonderful guest house in the middle of nowhere. If you want quiet serenity then this is your place. Reasonable distance to Kungsberget for skiing. Susanne your host is full of good tips and provides a really hospitable and helpful environment. We’re coming back :) Fantastic breakfast, very young child friendly :)
This small hotel was the mansion of the former manager of the foundry. The foundry - blast furnace - is still available for guided tours. The hotel is run by the couple Anna -Stina and Kaj in an intimate and professional way. The restaurant is primarily intended to provide service to the guests staying over night, but during summer months they also run a café open to all travellers. Food is focusing on local (delicious) specialities and my understanding is you may order in advance if you want something out of the ordinary. Anna-Stina is a good cook and eager to make your stay memorable. The small village of Jädraås is just a few clicks north of the skiing resort Kungsberget, so if you wish a more quiet place to stay after the skiing the Jädraås Herrgård is a good alternative. The lake just west of the hotel offers excellent swimming opportunities: Just get a towel and your swimming suite, walk down to the lake from your room and enjoy a refreshing swim after your travel and before dinner. Or before breakfast. It is completely private. In winter - or after a cold and rainy day - a sauna is available if you need to heat up.. If you stay more than one night you have the option to make up your room yourself - or pay a small amount to have it made up for you. Family rooms with up to four beds are also available. One further amenity of Jädraås is the narrow-gauge museum railway with steam engines and several types of rail cars. Time tables are available.…
