We have been in the process of moving from Nebraska to Alabama and stayed here a couple different times. Due to covid a bit disappointed over lack of hot breakfasts but understandable. Clean rooms. Comfortable bed. Elevator needs some attention, hearing scraping noises occasionally as raising and lowing. Clean and well lit parking lot for the most part. Was able to part my 50 feet of truck and trailer on the east side. I used to live in this area of the Omaha metro area and it’s a good area, safe and little to no issues. Staff Worked with us to reschedule our stays on the last trip due to delays and were GREAT! Reasonable cost and if using Choice hotels app, points for free stays. Nice clean bathrooms. Reasonable cost.
Pool heater was broken. Hot tub broken and smelled terrible. Night Supervisor was very rude and unprofessional. We cleaned up all our garbage in the lobby, moved all the tables and chairs back in place. As we were gathering up our stuff to head back to our room. Night supervisor came out from behind the desk and starting making rude comments under breath. We had two towels that we had not gathered up and she grabbed and said seriously. She then throw them in a tub in the back. I called down to the front desk and she told me her supervisor was on vacation. When I asked how to contact them she was very rude and short and then hung up.
We recently stayed here while in town for a funeral. I specifically wanted something with a 1bedroom suite (which typically means a separate, closed off bedroom from the rest of the room, helpful when trying to get multiple small children to sleep). Checked into our room, only to be told they don't have "1 bedroom", only "1 room" suites (even though the website explicitly lists both). Get to our room, open the door, and there's quite a smell. The typical old hotel, used to be a smoking room smell. The main light in the room was burnt out, and the cable didn't work. We eventually switched rooms (this one smelled slightly less). My niece's white socks turned black after walking around their room, the vending machines hadn't been cleaned since New Coke was a thing (that's an 80's reference), the ice machine was disgusting, and all of our rooms had mold actively growing. I felt like I was parting the seas while walking into the hotel through the main doors in the morning. The front desk workers were chain smoking up a storm and looked incredibly bothered that someone would be entering. The annual elevator inspection was last done in 2016. We booked this hotel due to the overall pretty good reviews, but I truly don't know how they could possibly be true. The one saving Grace was Ruby, the evening front desk worker. She really did her best to help out in any way. Pretty sure she's the only reason the hotel manages to keep running at all.…
Been a few years since I first stayed here and service has gone down hill, we arrived to our room to find the door wide open, tv on and the room half cleaned, we advised the front desk and she was like well that cant be all the housekeepers are gone. none the less we asked for another room, that room had several stains on the carpet, mold in the shower and the edge of the sink yuck! and coffee maker did not work. pool area was recently given a refresh and is now more kid friendly but stay out of the hot tub, it had a floating brownish ring around the edge and bubbles that where almost to the top of the tub super yuck! although a decent price paid I will be willing to pay more in omaha in the future to get a better room and service
I've stayed here more than once. Staff is friendly, room is clean. Whole place is no smoking, so I don't know how the one reviewer got a smoking room? Good hot breakfast in the morning. Good restaurants nearby. Casey's gas station across the street makes some dang good pizza, from scratch. Will stay again.
