We did the 5 day Ashanti tour (instead of a shorter one), because we thought that all activities would be valueable to our experience of Banko and surroundings. It really was a nice tour! We visited exclusive places such as traditional shrines and Prayer's Mountain and learned a lot. It was nice to be accompanied by tourguides Justice and Lydia who, since they're familiar with the place, really add value to the conversations that we had there. The host Pat is also amazing. Together they will make you feel welcome and make sure you'll enjoy your stay. You can ask them anything. Nogmaals bedankt voor alle mooie ervaringen en het fijne verblijf!
First time ever to Ghana. Home of beautiful people. M&S a place to go. Experience the hospitality, good home cooked food and kindness. Proper rooms. Owner Patricia became a friend. As a photographer Ghana is a Paradise. Downside for me was the loud churchmusic, espsecially in Accra
This place is feels like home. The owner Patricia is very welcoming, the room is airy and clean, the beds are comfortable. They have a lovely garden, where I could spend hours, just relaxing. The food is amazing!
Hi Patrice, you as owner welcomed us in your social and family life. Thank you. You offered us a clean nice room with an beautiful floor (handmade by yourself) and a nice outdoor place in the garden. For us the perfect place to explore the Ashanti region. Your food, your dedication and the hospitality for our chauffeur were exceptionable. We wish you all the best and highly recommend Moon and Star Guesthouse. Lots of love Johan and Marion.
We stayed here two nights with a group of seven women, taking up the family room (two dbls) and one single room where the owner, Pat, added an extra mattress. Nets were provided with the beds and the adjoining bathroom was nice and clean. The compound is really lovely with a nice patio where you can eat/lounge and enjoy the drinks and snacks provided. We chose the full-board option and really enjoyed the home-cooked meals and yummy breakfast (banana pancakes!). Pat also organized a Fufu (traditional Ghanaian dish) cooking class for us at a local woman's home- a wonderful experience! From there we did tours of Bomfobiri Wildlife Sanctuary (wonderful!) and Prayer Mountain. It was a great experience as all the staff is super helpful and accommodating and the prices are very fair. I would also recommend it for anyone who wants some peace and quiet as it's the perfect place to wind down and enjoy a book, games, conversation...(no WiFi, little mobile reception).…
