We stayed in July 2020. COVID: We saw all staff wearing masks at all times. In my opinion, if a mask falling down below the nose is concerning to you I really feel it is best to wait until this is all over to book a vacation as this does happen. In addition, we are early risers and saw the deck staff cleaning all of the equipment with cleaner. They also disinfected our equipment after we used the canoe. Room: We stayed in a loft suite which overlooked the property. Our room was comfortable, very clean, and not noisy at all. We enjoyed sitting on the deck for our tea. Food: We loved all of the foods we ate here and the wait staff were all so friendly and professional. Our favorite meals were breakfast. You should plan on sharing because they give huge portions. Pools: During our nightly walk we noticed the indoor pool to have loud obnoxious kids, probably preteen age with no adults around. It appeared they were intentionally being so rude to keep others out and it worked! The outdoor pool is nice and has comfortable seating all around. At times it did appear crowded so we didn't get to enjoy it. If you want a peaceful time for the pool/hot tub, early morning is best. Property: The property is very clean and has a small beach area. Bring aqua shoes as walking on the rocks can be hard on the feet. There is a condo area and this appeared to be the loud zone. This is also where we saw smokers and most of the dogs. I was confused about that as there are signs that say, "No dogs on the property." I'm not sure if that rule only applies to certain areas or if those dog owners were just selfish with breaking the rules. Other: Only one canoe for free, I wish there were more. You will pay to use all of the other equipment. The smores at night idea is very nice and they have it all bagged for you to enjoy. The front desk staff was very helpful and friendly. The sunsets here were the highlight.

Hotel's Favorite
I'm giving this 5 stars, not necessarily because of the accommodations, but because of the overall experience. Don't get me wrong though... I have NO complaints about the accommodations, as they more than met our desires. The overall experience here is superb though. EVERYbody was friendly, courteous, and helpful. The shuttle service is super convenient also. I like the fact that they will run you into town, and they also have scheduled drop offs and pick ups at the Whitefish Mountain Resort for skiing. Our room was very clean and the beds were comfortable. They also have a very nice restaurant and lounge, and indoor and outdoor hot tubs. This was our second stay here and I know we'll be back!

The grounds and common spaces were lovely and upscale. Location in regards to town and to the ski mountain was great. Our rooms (king beds in the Viking lodge) were clean, spacious and well appointed. Staff was friendly specifically Rose at the marina. Did see several housekeeping crew with masks on their chins. I would have rated a 4 but it felt that the common spaces I.e. pools/marina area/beach/outside restaurant is too crowded and out of control which does not lend itself to an upscale resort Experience that charges a guest to spend $300 or more per night. The resort was at full capacity and there were plenty of people using the marina for day use. There were so many blow up pool toys (including in the hot tub) that we witnessed many adults leave the area. Kids will be kids but the pool is not large enough to handle blow up rafts arc... The after hours local marina crown poured over into the pool when the gate was propped after the attendant left for the day. Again, more paying guests left. The web site states free canoes as an amenity. There is only one canoe.

I was really looking forward to this stay, and I am quite disappointed. After paying $1000 for 2 nights after tax, this property disappoints at many levels. My reservation was wrong and we initially had some issues with checkin, but that was eventually resolved, and these things can happen, so this has no effect on my review. Here is the reason why overall, this hotel is very disappointing: 1) Watch what room you get. We had room 227 and the entire bank of rooms facing north is right under a HUGE bank of commercial sized AC units. They run 24/7 and produce an incredible amount of noise. Even with all doors and windows tightly closed, it is very noisy inside the room - you have to turn up the TV to be able to hear, that kind of loud. The outside patio is unusable, due to the noise, which outside is unbearable. This is not a one off mistake - this affects at least a dozen rooms and this is totally unacceptable for a hotel of this caliber and price range. I am not a picky person but I am not spending $500 a night to sleep with ear plugs at night. For that reason alone, I would highly caution staying here. 2) The second issues is more avoidable, but a big problem nonetheless. It perhaps isn't the fault of the hotel itself. It's the clientele. There are large groups of parties, who are loud, drinking, and the entire pool is unusable until night time due to overcrowding. While this is difficult for the hotel to control, you need to be aware of it. If loud people, drinking and teenagers on the loose are your thing, then this is the hotel for you. Otherwise you will hate staying here. During our stay, there was a group of 11-12 out of control teenagers roaming freely, without any adult ever inside, around the pools and common areas, creating complete chaos. They took over the pools, they left their trash and food everywhere and were just a huge nuisance. They went into the indoor pool and starting jumping from the top of the climbing rock structure into 4 ft. shallow water - with no adult anywhere. Eventually security came and they left the indoor pool, to create havoc at the outdoor pool. Most of the employees in the hotel appear to be very young themselves,so there is lack of control in place. Again, this just speaks to the type of people you will encounter here. Based on these two issues above, I will never stay here again. Especially not when you consider the premium you pay. It's unfortunate since the rooms and overall facilities are all very nice, and the staff is friendly and helpful.

Do not stay at this hotel if you need to use wifi for business. It rarely works, and cell service is horrible. The hotel is having problems and installed a huge bank of air conditioning units that made sleep hard. Very noisy. I was charged for a room with a balcony that I could not use due to noise. The hallways are dark. The restaurant has very slow lax service.
