Reservations Staffer was extremely helpful moving me from a room in Viking Lodge into 2 bedroom condo for slightly less money. Condo was clean and great- couches a bit dated. Maid staff excellent! Wonderful boat tour with Captain Donny- I would advertise boat tours more! Dinner was excellent! Loved sitting in window. Salmon was perfect. Breakfast needed to be a tad more tasty, but overall was good. We would love to return to such a happy, beautiful place.

Hotel's Favorite
The Lodge at Whitefish Lake is by far the best Hotel we stayed at while traveling through Montana. As soon as you walk into the lobby, one realizes you're in a very special place with its Grand Fireplace and wildlife trophies adorning the walls. Our room was in the Viking Lodge which was convenient because it's close to the gym and has a lovely pool and Jacuzzi close by. It's also just a short walk over a very scenic Sky Bridge to get to the Main Lodge. The room we had was updated and had a great bathtub. I was also pleasantly surprised at how good some of restaurants were in the town of Whitefish. However, you can't go wrong making a reservation at The Boat Club Restaurant at the Lodge. We had dinner there twice and breakfast there all four days. Excellent! While visiting this beautiful Lodge, make sure to stop in The Mercantile where you'll find some unique merchandise. I would be remiss if I didn't give a shout to Lynne who helped us pick out some great gifts as well giving us sage hiking & traveling tips. Overall, we loved our time at the Lodge and look forward to a return trip.

The hotel was tired and dark. It was not well maintained. The carpets were dirty. The air conditioner did not work and the shower door leaked water on the bathroom floor. While the restaurant was nice and all the help very friendly, we were not able to get reservations for dinner at the fine dining section four nights in a row. The housekeeping did not clean the toilet nor the sinks. There was no way to get from the parking lot to our room other than traipsing through the restaurant from the outside doors, which we did, but it was very odd. I have stayed in nice and not so nice hotels all over the world for 50 years. I don’t expect perfection and generally roll with the punches. But this room was $1013 per night. That is $1013 per night!. I know you are in a resort town, but do you think it was worth it? No it wasn’t, and I will only recommend to my friends that they do not book your hotel. Thank you.

If I could give more than five stars I would. The Lodge at Whitefish Lake was all that I hoped it would be for our MT vacation. Our room was well appointed and exactly as the pictures showed on the website. The food was delicious. We had breakfast and dinner at the Boat Club, lunch at the Boat Club Bar, and we tried the room service several times. We rented a Jeep from the Lodge and when we wanted to add an extra day to our car rental, it was no problem. All the staff from the valet, front desk, restaurant, and concierge were attentive and made us feel welcome. I highly recommend The Lodge at Whitefish Lake.

Just returned from a 7 day stay at this property - was there for a business meeting with a group of clients. Read to the end as there is quite a bit here . . . Hotel is nice and has a typical western/lake feel. Bar area is inviting, outside area looks nice but my suggestion is it likely only gets nice after June 20/25 or so. May and early June are there rainy season and it rained non-stop - meaning everyday for 6 days. Bar service was good. Bar tenders are attentive and get very busy. the bar has a lot of craft cocktails (which are great) and we ate at the bar several days. Ben did a great job of taking care of us - thanks Ben!!!! also Andrew was on point. Front desk/housekeeping - area has a bit to be desired. the hotel does NOT offer housekeeping unless requested. we requested one day and were only in the room for 1 hour to get ready for dinner, came back at 10PM and nothing was done. after that i simply requested a standing order. they got all but one day right after that. Like many places right now they are short staffed and the staff works hard!! looks like they are at 50 to 60% staffed. some are really good - some, not so much. tried to have breakfast our last day and got there with about 50 minutes to go. asked for a server twice and it took 15 minutes to get the server to stop by. i asked if we could turn some quick breakfast in 35 minutes. Server said - no which i appreciated. but then when i said it would have helped if we were served early the snapped "well it happens" and walked away. not what you expect from a place you drop 300 to 400 per night. really left a bad taste in our mouth. Oh, by the way - the proper response is "perhaps the continental would work for you". Business meeting - they are NOT set up for business groups. Looks to me like weddings are there thing. at a reception they ran out of vodka, red wine and some other items so they tried to close the bar 40 minutes earlier than contracted. got them to put beverages back out an they continued serving. the first breakfast was a DISASTER! ran out of just about everything with no one attending the buffet line. Clients then had to put their plates on the floor as there was no clearing trays. really not a good experience an i will not take a group back as it was a poor experience from a meeting perspective. As a family visiting this is probably an ok choice - dinner in Boat House is good and i reviewed that separately. but for an overall experience it left a lot to be desired. Enjoy!!!

These folks do a great job, 30 min from glacier, on the lake with millions of acres of national forest recreation nearby, the competition is a joke, motels etc. Had to leave early and the manager was very accommodating. The only criticism i have is the fffe needs updating, i’m sure they ll get to it.

The resort has lost a step. TripAdvisor states there is laundry service however that’s not accurate. There is a bag in the closet indicating they have laundry service but you actually have to get coins and go to a neighboring building and use a coin laundry. The food is three star. Average. If you want a great meal go to the whitefish restaurant at the country club. No comparison. Housekeeping is upon request. Called to get extra plastic bags for the ice bucket (after I used one). Blank stare, did not comprehend. Never came. The housekeeping is marginal. Not really a cleaning. If you’re not going to clean the toilets then … please, leave a toilet brush for the customers to use. The car valets are great. The young lady at the coffee shop is also extremely courteous and friendly. Beautiful venue, but someone in management needs to kick it into gear. Overpriced. Maybe a B-.

My husband and I came to the lodge for an onsite wedding - splendid for bringing a large group together. The hotel has a huge outdoor pool and hot tub which overlooks the lake, surrounding mountains and beautiful Montana sky. It is a grand lodge spanning both sides of the highway. It was a long indoor walk to room, and we arrived to find it overlooked grassy lands with mammals and more mountains - it was dark enough at night to see the stars twinkling! We loved the large bathroom with sealed slate, granite and sliding window covers for privacy or not, your choice.
