We loved every part of staying at Hidden Moose Lodge. From check-in, to the incredible breakfast, to their helpful answers my many questions, the entire team was fantastic. This was our first stay at a bed and breakfast and I didn’t know what to expect, but I loved it. The lodge has lots of little spaces to get away and relax (hot tub, fire pit, private decks), so you never feel like you have to mingle, but I ended up loving the sense of community and even shared a table at breakfast one day. I read some concerns in previous reviews regarding road noise (which is present) but we couldn’t hear it when our windows were closed. Further, the fact that it sits off of a a road so close to town means that you’re just 5 minutes away from great food and shopping in downtown Whitefish. We stayed in one of the basic Lodge Rooms (The Riverbed Room, I believe) on the lower level and it had everything my wife and I needed to be comfortable. We loved being able to walk right up to our room via our private deck while also having the ability to enter the main part of the lodge via the other door in our room. We appreciated the box fan in our room as we tend to sleep hot. The bed was incredibly comfortable and the bathroom was large and well appointed. In summary, Hidden Moose Lodge and the people there were one of the highlights of our trip to Glacier and we will definitely recommend it to our friends who travel to the area.

So much class ! The attention to every detail was so much appreciated. The staff was the best! Knowledgeable and sincere. The classic Airstream needs to be added as a room option! So looking forward to booking a winter time return trip! Dave & Kim Kraal

This place was fantastic! We rented the Big Sky suite for 4 nights when we were in town from Texas for our wedding. They were super accommodating. They welcomed us with a hand written card and made us feel at home. Kent, Kim and all employees were so nice. They went above and beyond for us during our stay. They even found us a steamer and brought it to our room since I mentioned my dress was wrinkled. The suite was huge and had a private balcony. The location is awesome. Walking distance to the Whitefish Lodge, Last Chair Bar, The Boat Club and several hiking trails. It’s also only about a five minute drive to downtown Whitefish, 15 minuted to FCA airport and 30 minutes to Glacier National Park. The best part about Hidden Moose Lodge is the home cooked breakfast every morning at 8am!!

Staff was friendly. Breakfast is high quality and generous and served in a cozy dining room at shared tables. Hot tub is nice and secluded. The balcony around the back of the main lodge was a nice location to sit and have coffee or read and it looks on to a wooded green hill. The location is overall convenient and easy to find, however, it isn't quiet...at all. It is situated on a very busy two-lane road with traffic (including heavy trucks) travelling at 45mph. Because of this, use of the room's balcony and opening the windows was not possible. The traffic is highly disruptive to a good nights sleep, general relaxation, and enjoyment of the room. The room itself and the bathroom was spacious, although it could use a refresh to brighten it up and a deep clean. It was very hot during our stay (which was awesome for outdoor activities) but with our room, the heat seemed to be baking the lodge's garbage which was kept in the garage below our room and the smell was noticable. No housekeeping was provided, with COVID being the stated reason, however, at this point in time, that reason didn't seem justified and it seemed like a way to cut costs. I loved Whitefish and I wanted to love Hidden Moose, but in terms of a place to spend time and relax, it was a big let down. I wonder if the businesses in that areas could petition the city council for a reduction in the speed limit?

The Hidden Moose Lodge is a "hidden" gem. It Is THE place to stay in and around the wonderful city of Whitefish. In addition to gorgeous rooms with stunning views and luscious accommodations, the staff make it exceptional. You will feel like part of the family as they are so very friendly, attentive and sincere. Kudos to Kent and Kim Taylor, their daughter Klaire, and the wonderful employees Jeanie, Tracy, Dan, Amber and Katie. Do not miss out on this lovely place!

Beware that a confirmed reservation is not confirmed at that contracted rate. Book at your own risk! The owner of Hidden Moose refused to honor a reservation rate that I booked directly with the property. In fact, they reached out to inform me that my confirmed rate is increasing! I've had the reservation for over 3 weeks. I'm a repeat guest that has stayed at the property before. Hotels are at a premium these particular dates, so I was proactive (8 months in advance) in securing lodging at the reserved/advertised standard rate. The owner blames his booking system for the "glitch" that booked me at a standard rate vs their premium rate. The owner refuses to honor the rate and is demanding I pay the premium rate or else he will cancel my reservation. As the customer and repeat at that, I am being asked to cover a "glitch" on their end (standard rate vs premium rate). What business doesn't honor their rate? What business cancels a rate and leaves a repeat customer to find other lodging? I'll answer it. Kent at Hidden Moose does! There is a music festival in town that weekend and he is playing the numbers game (supply and demand). He knows it will catch a bigger price and is willing to cancel my confirmed rate. It's not about the "glitch" in the system. Kent's in hospitality but far from hospitable. Again, I booked 8 months out and he is just now realizing it and seeking a premium rate from those that are confirmed already. Avoid! He's shown he'll do it once. **That night he reflected on our conversation and made a donation to a local food bank. He didn't call me back or write me to honor my rate. He made a tax-deductible donation for his business. Then will relist the room for a premium rate. Leaving me to find other accommodations. Unprofessional and didn't honor their rate because of supply and demand.

We spent 3 days hiking in Glacier and then came to Whitefish to finish out our vacation. We could not have been more pleased. This great boutique hotel is right on the edge of town and close to the ski resort. The attention to detail was exceptional and not only to the facility but the customer service as well....such a kind and happy staff. The complimentary breakfast was amazing (hope you get to try the lemon cream cheese stuffed french toast) with a bottomless cup of coffee was a great way to start your day. We had some wonderful hiking on the many trails surrounding Whitefish and in the evenings we took their dinner recommendations. We stayed in the Goat Room which was destiny because i didn't get to see a mountain goat while hiking in Glacier. Do yourself a favor and book a stay, you will be happy you did.

Many thanks to Kent, Claire, Tracy and the entire team at HML for making our first visit to Glacier & Whitefish so memorable! We are a multigenerational family of six visiting for four nights (3 rooms) in late June/early July 2022. We were greeted warmly on arrival and our desire to eat outside (due to Covid concerns) on the deck was accommodated with grace. Kent was so helpful with suggestions on park hikes suitable for our group which included an 8 year old. He also provided bear spray for 5 of us to borrow (thankfully we did not need to use it!) At Kent’s suggestion, we booked a sunset pontoon cruise on Whitefish Lake with family member Kyle. It was so gorgeous and relaxing! Kyle provided wine, sodas, snacks and towels for an evening swim plus fun commentary on the beautiful homes and celebrity owners along the lakeshore. Highly recommended! Tracy’s amazing breakfasts were delicious, especially the lemon filled pancakes! Also included were fresh berries, orange juice, and excellent coffee. Individual preferences were noted and remembered - this is the type of customer service rarely found. I am already planning to return next summer with my two Australian Shepherds!

We visited the lodge in 2021, and brought 3 couples back in July of 2022. The owners and staff are helpful in suggesting excursions. The breakfasts are terrific! And they accommodate food allergies. There are many things to do in and around White Fish.
