Had a lovely stay there. Tim was very comfortable with nice gas fireplace. Other reviews were correct: breakfast was outatanding. Waffles with fresh fruit, eggs, Greek yogurt. Even with Covid, host offered a superior stay. Inn is only a 5 minute ride into town
We stayed 5 nights at the Duck Inn Lodge & thoroughly enjoyed it. My husband & I often disagree over B & B's since he doesn't like that the rooms are often quaint but not functional, while I like the individualized services & breakfasts. But this lodge has the best of both. We had a king bed room overlooking the river - comfortable bed (at our request Mark replaced the comforter with a regular blanket), good TV, A/C. Nice sized bathroom with large sink. I liked the USB charging unit. As has been stated in other reviews - the breakfasts were wonderful - great waffles & egg casserole. One morning we got up quite early to try to get to Logan Pass before 7:30, so Mark gave us all the continental breakfast fixings we could want to eat in our room & on the road. We really appreciated the personal touch - recommendations from Tyler & Mark on where to hike & eat in Whitefish, as well as what to do at Glacier.…
Our first trip to Whitefish and Glacier area definitely exceeded our expectations and our stay at the Duck Inn Lodge was a major reason. An easy sidewalk stroll to downtown Whitefish, or the local Safeway, and quiet location on the Whitefish River were just part of what made this Lodge so wonderful. But the helpful guidance from Mark and Tyler ranging from hiking, park access, restaurants, other Whitefish activities was especially appreciated in addition to the wonderful breakfast. I would highly recommend the Duck Inn to anyone wanting a bit more personalized experience in such a peaceful location.
We had such an incredible time when staying at the Duck Inn. Part of us wants to keep the secrets of this sweet little retreat quiet, so that we'll always have a place to stay when we come to visit! The bed was so comfy. The entire place was meticulously clean. Mark and Alyssa went above and beyond to make us feel so welcome and at home during our time there. We had dinner on the patio and were surprised by a 3 point buck who came meandering along the back yard and walked right in front of our patio! The river view was so peaceful. And even though it was 95 degrees during our stay, the in room air conditioner easily kept up with the oppressing heat outside, and we were quiet comfy inside!
Thirteen members of our family did Amtrak train trip from Chicago to Seattle but we stopped for 2 nights in Whitefish, Montana and had the pleasure of spending those 2 nights at the Ducks Inn Lodge. Due to Covid we had to change our plans and instead of getting off at East Glacier we had to make last minute adjustments and get off at Whitefish. Boy are we glad we did. The team at Duck Inn was able to accommodate our needs and we ended up with 6 rooms all facing the beautiful river. Upon arrival we were greeted by a couple of deer. The next morning we enjoyed watching a beaver go up its business. The rooms were clean and comfortable, each with a porch overlooking the river. The breakfasts were fantastic especially the waffles and the egg casseroles. The staff was as friendly and helpful as they good be. We even took advantage of their stack of board games and enjoyed a family contest of Trival Pursuit. The train trip was fun but the highlight of our trip was our 2 nights at the Duck Inn Lodge.…
