Living in Florida, it’s not unusual when you hear your friends say “we’re going to our mountain home this weekend.” Well, that’s exactly how we all feel now that we’ve spent 8 days at Linda & Dave’s ‘Bailey’s Bed n’ Bale’. A short, less than 20 minute drive North, from Glacier International Airport in Kalispell (identifier FCA when booking flights). We arrived dinnertime Friday and was immediately met by our host Linda. From the moment we arrived we were treated like family. Everything was so easy at “our” new mountain home :) And, EVERYTHING you would possibly need was included in multiples - cooking utensils, cookware, bug spray, BEAR spray (3 of them!! And their $45 each to buy) - but Bailey’s BnB just lets you borrow them. All the pre-cut firewood you would ever need, plus lighters, kindling and a gift bag of s’mores supplies. There was fresh popcorn kernels (which we made midweek - Yum!!), Delicious HOMEMADE, by Linda, Huckleberry Jam (which we polished off), Apple Butter & pickled Relish was awaiting us in the kitchen when we arrived - Who does that?! :) Lol - Linda does. Honestly, the farm animals - beautiful Highland long haired cows, Macy, the Australian sheepdog, the FRESH EGGS - From real chickens each morning. Did you hear me? - REAL CHICKENS! The 3 specific and lovely outside seating areas, the nice new grill, the exterior lighting, Banjo Brian showing up on Thursday night for campfire songs, the interior lighting, and every amenity you could ever need. I’m telling you Bailey’s Bed n’ Bale is the perfect way to get away from it all!! Just pack your toothbrush - everything else is their already! Great for Glacier National Park - approx 30 mins East. And Whitefish is a much nicer area to stay in with trendy and high end shops, restaurants, 3 grocery stores (1 - 24 hours) Big Mountain ski-resort 15 mins NW. City Beach on Whitefish Lake, 15 mins West, was so nice with free entry, clean bathrooms, concessions, shadetrees. Parking is at a premium arrive early or mid afternoon on summer weekends. BigFork, MT & Flathead Lake was 40 mins south. So much to see & do - and Bailey’s is right in the middle of it all. Linda was the Best Host- always available with local knowledge, endearing stories of farm life in Montana and helping us with all our needs. Dave started a fire for us one night before we came home and is a wonderful local home builder - their own house, also on property is a true inspiration of local Montana modern architecture. All in all, my wife and I, our 2 grown children, their wonderful spouses, 2 Grandkids- a 2.5 year old and a 3 month old, were all right at home! Thank you Linda & Dave for sharing your mountain farm with our family!! We LOVED it and will return as soon as our schedule allows!! Dave & Doreen :)

We were lucky enough to stay ar the Bed n' Bale for 5 days when in MT for a wedding. The Bn'B was so relaxing I never wanted to leave! It is a rustic cabin with all the modern amenities you may need, including a large jacuzzi tub and a wheelchair-friendly shower. The Baily's even had a fire started outside for us to enjoy every evening.

This was my third stay at Bailey’s Bed n Bale and I will continue to rave about it and return. The house is always set up just right and somehow it knows what I’m going to forget to pack. The owners are so nice, building us a fire to greet us after a long day of exploring. I especially love the animals, so fun to be on a farm when we come visit from the city. Overall if you want to have first rate comfort and above and beyond relaxation this is your place. At night you can sit by the fire and gaze at the stars and really remember how important it is to take some time to smell the pine trees. And there is a hot tub ☺️

First time staying here - but hands down best location and experience! Linda is a great host with a great farmhouse for us to enjoy and true Montana experience while enjoying all of the outdoor activities that Montana has to offer (hiking, biking, kayaking, Glacier National Park - the works! The grounds are amazing - multiple outdoor spaces to enjoy - fire pit, deck with bbq, and pastures/open space. Loved the farm animals too. We had two couples and two dogs staying there - experience could not have been better. Farmhouse could easily handle a larger group with children too. If you would want to unwind and relax in Montana - definitely recommend experiencing Bailey's Bed & Bale! Love it!!!!!! Thanks Linda and Dave!

Wow. The best Host ever. So accommodating to our growing family. We had everything we needed for a toddler and the setting was gorgeous. Loved the Highland cows and the fresh eggs for breakfast. Took lovely walks and enjoyed our views from every room. Can’t wait to go back after the melt!

Yet again, the Bailey's Bed'nBale didn't disappoint!! We arrived to (as usual) the clean and comfy getaway and this time it was all decorated up for Christmas - what an unexpected treat! it was great fun for us desert dwellers to experience the season without cactus. I added some pictures of the grounds - so pretty. We will be back!

This place very quickly became home sweet home-we took day trips but always looked forward to coming back to the cows, chickens, puppy Maci, and the beautiful property. The home itself is absolutely wonderful--spacious but cozy, rustically charming but completely comfortable. You can see the Baileys going about their business working on the farm and it was always a joy to have a chat with Linda, who never hesitated to put down what she was doing to give us and the little kids a tour of some aspect of the farm. She was a phenomenal host--gracious (very understanding/flexible) and generous. She really made us feel like we were friends visiting, rather than guests who paid for the privilege to stay. Thank you for that comfort and looking forward to next time.

8 of us stayed comfortably. Linda was more than accommodating, while at the same time left us alone. Everything worked. Fully stocked kitchen. Plenty of parking. Nice welcome basket. etc. etc. No doubt I would stay here again for trips into the west side of GNP.

Phenomenal stay! The Baileys are very warm, friendly and accommodating. The two of us and the dog ventured up to Whitefish in November and we found an amazing property and plenty of room for the three of us. The cabin was very cozy and had a fully equipped kitchen and fresh eggs in the morning. The Baileys were incredible in their hospitality and helpfulness. It is also a short drive out to Glacier NP from their property! We will definitely be staying here again on our next trip to Whitefish!

This is my third stay at the Bed n Bale and it only gets better each time. We brought our dog and the owner had treats waiting for her and for us. This place has more than you even know you might need, they literally think of everything. By far my favorite place to stay when I come to Whitefish.
