Above a crackling fire a vase of pussy willows crowns the mantel strewn with pine cones and celadon colored candles. Well-seasoned firewood fills a brass bucket. Champagne chills. Delectable tidbits tempt us. Chocolate truffles await us on our bed. And breakfast? There are not enough adjectives to describe breakfast! Perfectly delicious and perfectly delivered. These are just a few words... More

Our family of 4 stayed for a week at the Garden Wall in the family suite. The attention to detail was amazing - the best that we have EVER experienced and we have traveled all over North America and Europe. Every day, we were served a different breakfast - nothing was ever repeated, and the breakfasts were extraordinary. If we... More

I recently spent three nights at this lovely B&B. The hosts (Rhonda and Chris) couldn't do enough to ensure that my stay was wonderful. The rooms are well appointed and freshened throughout the day with clean towels, fresh flowers and little luxury items. The food is farm-to-table and beautifully prepared and served. The ambiance is very comfortable for a single... More

You couldn't pick a better place to stay, especially if you're going to Glacier Park or skiing at Big Mountain. These guys are a wealth of information about the area, and incredibly helpful. The place is wonderful, from the cozy fireplace to the morning coffee delivery.

A perfect little B&B run by a consummate hotelier who provides a warm, lovely setting, top quality amenities, delicious breakfast made with local products/produce and knowledgeable conversation about Montana. One of the best little inns I have ever visited.

We had three nights at the Garden Wall Inn. It's simply a wonderful place to stay. The inn was built in 1923 and has been tastefully and immaculately maintained. Our room was upstairs. The furnishings were very nice and there were many thoughtful touches, including quality toiletries, a lovely rainhead shower, lush towels, bath robes and a nightly turn-down service,... More

I used to own and operate a B and B and I know how hard it is to get each and every detail just right! From the moment I walked in and was greeted by Chris, I felt at home. The living room is nicely appointed and welcoming. The breakfasts delicious and beautifully presented with attention to every detail including... More

Chris and Rhonda are excellent hosts. Chris was there to greet us when we checked in early, helped us with our bags and gave us detailed directions on how to get downtown (a five minute walk) and excellent restaurant recommendations. Drinks and snacks are prepared at five and Chris indulged my husband with conversation for about an additional hour and... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The award-winning Garden Wall Inn has been catering to discerning travelers since 1987. The impeccably restored 1920’s inn offers five luxurious guestrooms, each furnished with period antiques. Scrumptious three-course breakfasts are prepared by chef/owners Rhonda Fitzgerald and Chris Schustrom. The Inn is a convenient one-block walk from downtown Whitefish’s excellent restaurants, shops and nightspots. Only 25 minutes from Glacier National Park, the Inn is the perfect base for exploring the Park. The Inn is built in the "Colonial Revival" style with a gambrel roof and clapboard siding. The interior is accented by original solid maple flooring, arts-and-crafts fir moldings, and beveled-glass french doors. The guestrooms’ private baths boast huge claw-foot tubs, pedestal sinks, and black-and-white art-deco tile. Oriental carpets and fine antique furniture complement the lovely rooms. ... more   less
