Gray Wolf Inn and Suites is a well-regarded destination for its host of convenient amenities, including complimentary breakfast and evening treats such as s'mores, which are a hit with guests. While the service has been occasionally criticized for lapses in attention, many appreciate the warm hospitality offered. The atmosphere, complete with fireside socials, adds to the comfort, though some find the rooms and pool lacking. Opinions on value and cleanliness are mixed, with recognition for its cleanliness but some housekeeping issues. The hotel's prime location near local attractions is consistently praised.

Location is excellent close to restaurants gift shops and most importantly to west entrance of Yellowstone NP. Clean room staffing was professional and accommodating. Won't hesitate to stay here again.

Wife and I stayed for three night. I booked two different types of room and was told over the phone that I have to check out, clear out my stuff and check in again to go in a different room. I totally understand because I was not able to book the same room type because it was no longer available. That happened because we decided to add a third night near the arrival date.

I arrived at the hotel and Brandon hooked me up so I kept the same room... such a relief! Thanks!

Room was very clean and comfy. Got a nice view too!

All the staff were very accommodating and very friendly. Shaun at the front desk recommended places and were super helpful.

I found the place very convenient because there were 4 sets of washer/dryer that’s free to use. Laundry soap can be purchased at the front desk for $1 or you can bring your own! So cool!

There’s also an underground parking that protects your car from being covered in snow. Also a good and warm place to load and unload.

You can walk across the street to the Grizzly Wolf Discovery Center and McDonalds. Very close to shops and restaurants as well.

We will definitely stay here again!

Our stay at The Grey Wolf Inn was so much better than expected. Although the hotel room wasn’t completely equipped with modern appliances, the attention to detail exceed any other hotel we’ve stayed at. From the s’mores kits downstairs to the binoculars, yoga mat, and hiking sticks in the room, we were blown away. The staff also made our stay comfortable and accommodating. Thank you Courtney, Kelly, and Rob as well as the other staff there. We will be coming back to stay during our next visit to West Yellowstone.

I had a reservation for the Yellowstone Park Hotel for July 6-8, the photos looked lovely and it was a newer construction. Right beforehand, I received an email saying they moved up to Gray Wolf Inn, I tried calling to ask to cancel, but no answer after being on hold for 30 minutes using the number of the reservation paper as well as the one from the website.

I ended up checking in at Gray Wolf and the room was dark, but had recently been redone. I tried connecting to the free wifi and it worked about 10% of the time, even in the lobby. The bathroom in our room had a wad of hair on the floor and in the shower. No grab and go breakfast, smores or any other amenty that they typically have.

The best part of the stay was the pool which opened on the 6th, we signed up to swim and it was sparkly clean. They also had free laundry which was cleaner than my room!

I would never booked at ANY of their companies again after this experience, they have Gray Wolf, Explorer Cabins, Yellowstone Park and Holiday Inn West Yellowstone so the number I tried calling was for all of those and it never went through, horrible communication. I viewed this as a Bait and switch and if they allowed us out of the reservation without penalty we could have switched to another hotel, rooms were free and same or less price.

Wonderful location for entering the park on the west side. We think entering on west side was the best cause we you are in middle of park and can go north or south! Good location for shopping and restaurants. Grizzly discovery center was right across the street and you can hear the wolves howling at night when sitting by the fire pit in front of the hotel. Staff was very friendly and helpful. We had a suite so it was very spacious With full kitchen however there were only two forks and the microwave was dirty.
No cleaning service available unless you asked for it. Which was total fine for us. We stayed 8 nights. If you wanted something like TP or Kleenex you had to go down to check in desk and get it yourself. No breakfast available but there was coffee all day. They did supply the coffee pods for your coffeemaker in the room. They have tried to update the rooms. Hardly anyone picks up after their dog which is disgusting! Had to reserve time for pool and spa which is understandable right now, but we never used it. Shower has NO water pressure but did get hot. The bath mat in tub smelled like mildew. There was 1 sink in bathroom and 1 on outside which is very nice to have. They offer free WIFI however it doesn’t work! We could not stay connected on phones or iPad. They gave me IT support and I called and got my IP manually put in and he said he raised the bandwidth however it really did not help. If the WiFi worked I would have given 5 stars.

This is an attractive hotel with nice accommodations in a fairly central location. The guest rooms are spacious and include two sinks. This is my first experience with a Gray Wolf property. I am quite pleased with the tour company's selection of this facility. Extra precaution was taken by providing sanitizing wipes in the room and sterilized remote. Another nice amenity is the Bath & Body Works products provided for our use. That's a first for me.

This hotel has great rooms, special free perks, and an amazing location. It's one of the few hotels in Yellowstone with suites that have a separate bedroom with a door that closes (and couch converts to a queen-sized bed). The staff went above and beyond expectations with their care of us and patience toward our child. They were considerate and responded promptly to requests like a rollaway bed. They helped our hyperactive child find things to do and responded kindly with his suggestions, requests, and many questions. It was a fantastic vacation, the best we have taken for a while! The extra perks like the smore's kits that were free and the cookies during the day were extra special. The books in the room about wolves and the announcements about area businesses and what to do in Yellowstone this time of year were also very appreciated.

We stayed in a 1 bedroom suite with 2 queens beds and a separate room with a full kitchen, sofa and large tv. The space was large and gave us a lot of room to move around without feeling like we were falling over our luggage. (We were skiing after so had a lot of gear). The room itself was adequate for the cost of the room but was definitely starting to look a bit tired. The breakfast (during covid) had a good variety of prepackaged food that was enough for a pre-tour meal. We

Check in was very quick and easy.
Staff was pleasant.
We were given the room i had requested

The room appeared to be clean

The bed was comfortable
the room had decent lighting
The air conditioner worked well

The hotel had a nice pool and hot tub
they also had a nice gym

sleep quality was good

Breakfast was so so. LOTS of carbs- granola bars, fruit, yogurt, cereal, etc. no eggs or anything.

The hotel was pricey, but this is a tourist town so it was in line with other places

the location is convenient if visiting Yellowstone National park.

The Grey Wolf was very convenient for us and we will be back. There was a lot of snow when we were there but they cleared plenty of spots for parking, even with all of the snowmobile trailers and big trucks parked there and in nearby hotel parking lots.
We traveled with our dogs and they made it very comfortable to do so. The property is very clean and the beds are comfortable. I love the Bath & Body Works toiletries and the bulk shampoo & conditioner.
Walking distance to downtown, even in cold weather. McDonald's a block away for breakfast.
