Gray Wolf was an excellent choice for us to explore West Yellowstone. The guy that was working the desk was very helpful upon check in. They loaned us bear spray, and suggested where to find that "canned air" since my wife is asthmatic. The Inn was nice, and the bed was very comfortable. Room was clean, no issues at all. Asked the maid for some extra hand cloths, and received them. Wish we had time to check out the indoor pool area, but we spent almost all of our time in the park. The breakfast is about what you would expect for Continental fare. Waffles, bagels, cereal, muffins, power bars, fruit & milk/coffee/teas/juices. Everyone ate amicably and got on the road to the park. Thanks, Gray Wolf Staff!
Grey Wolf Inn is a terrific place with helpful, accommodating staff. It is in an excellent location within walking distance of numerous shops and restaurants in West Yellowstone. We found our room to be clean and the inn well maintained. The breakfast bar is excellent with abundant selections of foods to choose from, and they provide smores kits for use with their fire pit during the evening. This was the perfect place to come back to after full days in Yellowstone. Also, the Grizzly and Wolf exhibit across the street from the inn is not to be missed.
The hotel itself, the staff, the rooms, the pool, everything was fantastic. The only bad part was the breakfast. I pay for hotel food and get gas station food. Tornados? Really? With the price of rooms this is the best you can do? I have stayed at much cheaper hotels in other places and have had much more expansive breakfast options. If you stay here, plan to eat out at a restaurant, and definitely leave a complaint at the front desk. Other than that, the trip was great. Close to the park, and the discovery center across the street was Awesome. This hotel is worth it.
Pillow was like a flat bread. Mattress was not uniform and depressed at a place where most people "slept" This is not a cheap place. But it has these antiquated furnishings. Location is great for visitors to YSNP.
Wonderful stay! First time in Yellowstone. We had a small problem with the a/c unit that maintenance tried to fix, but were unsuccessful. Other than that it was outstanding and I would highly recommend them. In error, we eft a package at the Inn and wrote it off as a loss. A week after we returned we received the package in the mail with a note saying they found it! They paid $8.95 to mail it to us! The breakfast area was always kept full of food and clean. Front desk and maintenance people were always respectful and kind. I'd re-book with them in a heartbeat!!!
We had a nice experience at The Gray Wolf Inn and Suites. We booked a last minute trip, so options in the park were very limited. We were happy to be so close to the entrance since it was still a bit of a haul to the main loop. We had a 1 bedroom family suite and the kitchen was well stocked. We stayed here for half of the trip, so the free laundry came in handy! They had yard games, ice cream social, s’mores at night, and goodies you can check out (binoculars, walking sticks, etc). The one area of improvement I’d suggest is the breakfast. It would be nice if it was a little earlier and had more options. Overall a great stay.
We stayed here for two nights with our children during a trip to Yellowstone. De rooms are very nice and spacious. The breakfast was fine, although I really dislike all the disposable silverware/tableware. The hotel is very conveniently located next to Yellowstone, in a small town full of restaurants etc. The kids were happy with the pool. The only thing that I did find a bit strange was that when our toilet wouldn’t flush, we got a plunger to fix it ourselves?!? Would still recommend it though.
Has to be the worste breakfast I have ever seen. Coffee, cereal and packaged oatmeal with some deep fried egg and sausage roll. Hotel is average at best, shower is small and shower head is clogged. Hair dryer fell off the wall because whoever installed it doesn't know how wall anchors work. Only plus is it allows dogs and is close to the west entrance.
Large room with kitchen area. Great parking with close elevator. Best part was the staff. Nathan was exceptionally helpful! The long line to get into the park was daunting but would return to same hotel. The location is within walking distance to downtown! Comfortable hotel!
The Gray Wolf Inn & Suites exceeded our expectations. All our requests were met as soon as possible. Our room was feather free - which we needed. Full kitchen and full size refrigerator worked nicely. They are minutes from the park and walking distance from tourist venues and shopping. Grocery delivery is available via third party . Ebony was very helpful on the evening shift. They are pet friendly. Well stocked continental breakfast and free nightly s’mores roasting. Ice cream social once a week. Laundromat is free. They are not brand new but our room was clean and nice. Wolf and bear rescue zoo is across the street
