The hotel was in a great location. The room was a very good size. It had a refrigerator and but no microwave. However, a communal microwave on the 1st floor was available. They offered breakfast on the go. I do feel that for the price, the room supplies given were quite stingy. They only gave us 1 roll of toilet paper even though we were staying for 3 nights. We had to go to the front desk several times to ask for more toilet paper, soap, etc. The parking was also rather tough. If you arrived after sundown, you more than likely end up parking on the street. So for that price, I feel things could have been better.

We stayed at the Brandin' Iron Inn back in September 2020 while traveling through Yellowstone National Park and it was a decent experience.

The rooms aren't high end and you won't get a luxury experience, but you will get an awesome location to the park and nightlife in the town. It's just minutes away from the entrance to YNP.

I admit the pricing for the hotel was WAY outside our budget, especially for the amenities offered, though it was cheaper than other properties we looked at.

Overall it's not a bad place but probably overpriced for what you get compared to other hotels we've stayed at as we travel full-time.

Our room 106, was very clean and the furnishings were in good condition. The bed was fine (it’s a king). The room had good lighting and fairly spacious and the ac wasn’t too loud. One review mentioned their room wasn’t anything like the photos online but room 106 DOES look exactly like the photos online. It’s a perfectly nice room. The property is very well maintained and the staff is very nice and friendly. There are many restaurants and stores and a grocery store within a few blocks some as close as across the street. We ate at Firehole Bbq and Paul’s Rocky Mountain Pizza, both are good and recommended by hotel staff. The location is great for the west entrance to Yellowstone.
Cons- the parking is tight. It’s very expensive for what you get, we paid $215 a night and that was after a AAA discount then around $27 for a resort tax, a bed tax and something called TBID so for 2 nights it was $483.82!!! They ran out of ice every morning. We heard a lot of noise from the guests above us and since the rooms open to the parking lot there was a lot of noise around 6am from guests loading up for their day. Bottom line- I’d stay there again if I could get a quieter room and the price was lower.

We have stayed at this property on and off for the past thirty years. We really like that the property now is pet friendly. The rooms have been clean and our stays have been uneventful. When we called for reservations this year we were quoted a higher price than what their web site listed. On one night the clerk agreement to change the price listed on the web after checking it but refused for the second night. I was able to book the room online for the lower price. The property has a nice breakfast which is a nice bonus. Their web site states: Our West Yellowstone guests enjoy a free deluxe breakfast in the Brandin' Iron's breakfast corral, featuring: cheese omelets, oatmeal, waffles, pancakes, fruit, cereal, juice, coffee, biscuits and gravy and Danish pastries. When we made reservations nothing was said any different and the web site still lists the listed breakfast. When we checked in we were told that we would have to come to the front desk to pick up our "sack" breakfast. We were given a sack breakfast that consisted of a granola bar, apple and a small apple juice-see above what is advertised. We were extremely disappointed and let the front desk personnel know when we checked out and asked about our stay. In the room there is a small refrigerator which I checked and found left baby food in it-according to the front desk our room had been closed for sometime and just reopened. It was disturbing to find items in the room calling into question their cleaning of the room especially with the corona virus concerns.

Yellowstone is a stunning area and well worth a trip. But the town of West Yellowstone is "touristy" IMHO, and since they are the only game in the immediate west Yellowstone area, can get away with it. (if don't stay here, routed into Idaho or further north toward Bozeman) Book your motel rooms early because the town's available rooms fill up fast. We decided to stay in the area at the last minute and apparently got the "last room" in town which happened to be at an overflow area for this Inn. We paid through the nose ($189.00 PT) for two people, no breakfast, and a few hours sleep. But , didn'tfeel we could safely travel on, so we stayed. We were rented what I would call a "hunter house", which would have been suitable for up to 6 people or more. It would have been an acceptable location for a large family as it had a kitchen, 3 sleeping areas, etc. We asked if a price adjustment could be made and was told no. The cabin unit was older with some renovation and appeared clean enough but could have used some attention. The front door to the unit only opened halfway before sticking on the carpet. An outlet was hanging out of the wall which was not great, and light bulbs were not working, which seems someone should have noticed. Upon finding a door off the kitchen that was unlocked and easily opened, we discovered two storage areas for the motel, stacked with stuff, and with a back door unlocked and open to the street for whoever might have decided to walk right in. It was creepy. Glad that we found it, got the door locked, and had no unwanted visitors! Parking was not great and the corner where the room was located was very dark. (no street lighting). When we checked in and out, masks were either not worn, or not worn properly. I understand that not everyone likes masks, but in a heavily touristed area, would seem smart to think enough of the people supporting their town to practice this small gesture of additional safety. The Inn is located about two blocks from the west entrance to YNP so that is convenient.

First off, the location and convenience to the park entrance is fantastic. The hotel itself, however, does not meet that standard. Our first day, there was no hot water in the shower. That was addressed, but the shower was very finicky and it was difficult to dial in the hot water. The TV in our room did not work. In fairness, the room itself was clean and comfortable.

The free breakfast was not good. The orange juice dispenser only dispensed water. The pancake maker was broken. The less said about the cheese omelets the better. We skipped it entirely the last day of our stay.

The amenities and rooms were just ok. However, the proximity to Yellowstone, gas stations, restaurants, shops, and the price point compared to other places in the area, made this stay well worth it. Rooms were small but clean. One hitch was the lack of breakfast or spa area, but that was not the hotel's fault-we visited during COVID. All staff were VERY friendly, wore masks, very helpful. Overall solid place to stay.

Brandin' Iron Inn was disappointing. For over $200 per night, I would not expect to have to switch rooms because sewage was backing up into my bathtub. We were moved promptly to another room, but not offered any discounts due to the inconvenience.

Through weird luck, we got a room about a month before our trip! I enjoyed their website that said that if we shifted everything 1 day, we could get a room! Was it more expensive than the hotels an hour away? Yup, but we were able to stay in the park much later, which was amazing. We got the basement room with the kitchen. It was huge, lovely, and had basic cooking implements. The dining room table was big enough that we had space to eat AND have our dueling computers up without fighting for desk space.

The breakfast was great. Our favorite part was the omelets. There were restaurants open quite late within walking distance and market/supermarkets pretty close, as well.

Not the hotel’s fault, but there were some dorkwads who were shouting at 10 pm, 11 pm, midnight, 1 am, and 2 am, so we really appreciated our ear plugs. There was also a truck that parked diagonally across 3 parking spaces. Thank you to the hotel desk lady who helped us figure out where to park when we got back late and … couldn’t find a place to park. We appreciate you!

I liked that the shower had one of those bowed out shower curtain rods. The internet was a bit slow.

The hotel had its own Pokemon Gym! WOOT!

We spent 3 nights at the Brandin Iron Inn and had a wonderful experience. Though an older hotel, it was clean and quiet. The location is near the main road so we could walk to restaurants and shops. It was very near the West entrance of Yellowstone NP; so convenient. Each morning, they gave pre packed breakfast bags with a bagel, cream cheese, juice and yogurt. The office had coffee 24/7 and it was really good coffee. I would choose to stay here again on my next visit to West Yellowstone.

Coffee available in breakfast area as have been stated. There was toiletries in the bathroom - shampoo bath soap. I cannot remember about a hair dryer but I bet reception would have one. There was laundry facilities on the property in a separate building. Very nice facility
