We’re very thankful to have found this place or we couldn’t have gone to Yellowstone at all on such short notice. But for $99 a night..... I would have expected a shower house and particularly the actual showers in better order. Spaces are tight. I think quite a few people are full timers there. We only saw one other person move in our 2 nights there. We loved the West Yellowstone shopping area. Would stay again as the owner was nice and great location.

Great location right in town so close to all amenities and the Yellowstone Park gate. Allow extra time for Ken's special check-in - he is a wealth of information. The RV Park itself is older but very well maintained. There are lots of trees, the sites are level and gravel and the free WIFI and cable works well. The washroom building is older but the washrooms are some of the cleanest we have experienced. I would highly recommend this RV Park as a home base to explore Yellowstone - we stayed for 8 days in late August.

After reading other reviews, maybe the cabins are good but the RV sites are stacked so close we were literally less than a foot from our neighbor behind us, and we have a small trailer! Location is convenient to downtown and park entrance, but the women's bathroom is in severe need of an upgrade. Only one bottle of hand soap for sinks 8 feet apart, one stall missing TP holder, showers are gross. Seriously, would take less than $500 to make major improvements. Husband said the mens side not much better. Same Q-Tip on shower floor for TWO Days!! If you have good bathroom facilities in your rig, then you might not mind as much as we did.

This was our second time staying in the RV park because we loved it the first time…and it has sadly slid down a very steep hill. First, half of the RV park is now gone, replaced by what looks like an apartment building. Second, this place has absolutely no amenities. The restrooms/showers were open one day of the four we were there; closed due to sewer issues. We were only able to use water and power hookups due to the same sewer issue; had to go to another RV park and pay additional money to dump our tanks. Definitely not worth the money we paid and will never stay here again which is unfortunate.

Room Tip: Look around…much nicer RV parks in the area.

We were very disappointed when we drove into the campsite and realized how utterly cramped this campground is. The pictures on the website are very misleading. Many of the large units were unable to open their slide outs because of the tight spaces. We were so close to our neighbors that we could hear them blowing their noses inside their RV. They also moved us from our reserved spot into another one without asking us. We were assured it “was a better spot” but what I’m assuming is that they realized our pop up could fit next to a small camper to open up a big space for a larger RV. One evening our neighbor was allowed to park half his truck in our campsite because the space he had been using to park was reserved for the night. Half of the laundry units do not work. The showers all drain into one another and are poorly lit and not clean. One positive from this campsite experience is that we were very close to the restrooms. They advertise a game room but there definitely isn’t one. I would take my chances looking for a “first come, first serve” campground rather than stay here again.

No maintenence, bathrooms dirty, sites are jammed so tight your in your neighbors face. No wifi, no dav area, no dog baggies, we always bring our own, but poop would not be there if dog baggies available. It's really a dump. Any good reviews are by owner! Showers are gross and dirty. Nothing about this place is nice.

Its hard to imagine anyone giving this CG a higher rating than poor. Advertised internet and game room...nada. parked 4 to 5 feet away from other RVs...towed vehicle was to be parked in street. Overall doesnt look like the owners have spent a dollar on upgrades in the past 40 years. 3 oit of 5 washers not working with 2 of the other held together with blue masking tape, half dryers broken, stay away from the showers.

This place was super disappointing. Basically it is a parking lot with some trees, that is across the street from a parking lot. From the photos on the web you can't tell but yup that is what it is. The "showers" were not upkept and moldy. The spot they had us parked it was super tight and was on top of the neighbor. It was so bad that we ended up leaving as we didn't want to stay.

We had reservations at Wagon Wheel the week of July 4. I called to change my reservation. I was told by a very sweet Asian lady that the RV park we booked had closed and a hotel was being built on the land.
We paid $616.00 for our 10 days. She gave me another phone number to call. No answer.
I have an email receipt from Wagon Wheel RV & Cabins.

We returned from old faithful with high traffic. Took about 40 minutes to get back. 25 minutes to get there. Our travel to/from we went everywhere in Yellowstone except the beartooth pass with very little travel difficulties and all within 30-45 minutes. Get up early and GO!
No fire pits provided or allowed. Don’t recommend this campground.
There is shower and AC in Goldfinch cabin. I am not sure about Green Heron cabin.
Yes, 5 minutes from the campground we rented a car. Don’t recommend this campground.
