Older motel, but incredibly comfortable beds. Christy, at the front desk, was very welcoming and helpful and knew a lot about the area. This hotel has kind of a bed and breakfast atmosphere in the lobby area. The is banana bread and other quick breads for breakfast. It was good, but I was hoping for more for breakfast.

Stopped here for an early start to Yellowstone. Nice receptionist, lots of games in the lobby to take up to the room and wine available. Room was clean but to large for the air conditioner to cool, safety lights outside shined brightly through thin curtains. Beds seemed to be foam, comfortable but hot. In retrospect I would drive further for... More

Thank you for making us aware of the cooling issue you experienced. We are aware of some issues with our Air Conditioner Units and are working hard to replace those in need! However we were unaware of the curtain issue, and we will do our best to remedy that! We thank you for your review and the honest critique of... More

I'll be honest when we booked the place I didn't expect much for only $60 a night. Usually a room at that price is a dicey little gamble. I was pleasantly surprised. The room was comfortable, clean and cozy. If you're looking for a Hilton experience move on, but if you are looking for a small town, home like feel,... More

Our four night stay at the Lewis and Clark was a nice surprise. The amenities of this little treasure are sure to make your stay most comfortable. The rooms are clean, paint is fresh and beds are comfortable. We had a balcony room which was perfect for our fresh coffee and banana bread every morning. There is a fully stocked drink... More

We happened upon this place whiling driving through town. Went in to see about a room, was greeted by Ann. She is such a wonderful lady. The inside of this motel was amazing. The history was awesome. Ann gave us our room, which was more like a bed and breakfast type place. After getting our luggage upstairs, Ann gave us... More

This place is clearly the second best place to stay in historic Three Forks but don't expect too much. The rooms are clean and the building is very nice and historic in nature. However simple amenities like a bar or a coffee shop with some kind of food do not exist. They building has restaurant areas and bars but they... More

Great old motel with brilliant service. Don't miss the signature banana bread for breakfast. Nice choice of rooms and just 4 blocks from downtown. Wednesday night really buzzing town. Try Montana Ale Works for dinner and Vargs for books and music. They also have a sister motel in Three Forks, " the best small town in Montana ".

This hotel totally delighted us -- from its fascinating history, to the period immaculate and large room we had, to the comfortable common area with priceless Life Magazines from the 40's and 50's, period music playing. For those tired of the sameness of the Best Westerns etc. enjoy real personalized hospitality as it should be.

This motel is obviously one of the historic buildings from the past - I could tell it had once been an old hotel from the west. The only problem is that the way it is decorated is sort of cheesy - lamps like from the 70's in the hallway, and no furniture or things that give it a historic look... More

When all hope of finding any hotel within 100 miles was just about gone, my son and I lucked out to get the last room at the Lewis and Clark Motel.
