Exceptional stay x2 in December. Clean, well stocked rooms. Spacious. Friendly, professional and efficient staff. Quiet environment. Understanding of late check-in and flight delays. Will absolutely stay again.
My husband and I discovered this place weeks ago and really loved it...we just knew it would be our new favorite getaway since it's only an hour and a half away. And now? Never again. To the point...my husband & I are living separate at the moment between Illinois & Idaho as we work on retirement & selling one house in Illinois and doing renovation on another place in Idaho. It had been weeks since we had seen each other and he was flying back JUST so we could have a weekend here. I booked a couple nights in a King Superior cabin. He is a very sensitive Celiac & with minimal food options in Thompson Falls I planned everything to be able to prepare all our food in the cabin. I packed an induction burner, a griddle, food for multiple meals, plates, bowls, flatware, cups, kitchen tools, an electric tea kettle for hot tea, hot cocoa, you name it. I prepped and packed enough for five meals and snacks. We were excited and even bought new fleece heated blankets to be extra cozy. And we packed ALL of this up "for our quiet weekend tucked away in Montana". Great! We laughed that we looked like the Beverly Hillbillies going down the highway but we were really excited. We were worried because the night before was a MASSIVE snowstorm but fortunately the roads were clear enough to go. We got there and unloaded everything, I got all of it set up and put away which took a minute. About 9:00 pm I went to take a bath and there was no hot water for the tub. None. After all the cold I couldn't wait to soak in a hot tub. I called the office and they in turn called the owner. The only thing we got was a "Sorry, you can move to another cabin." That was it! We were to be here for nearly three days and no hot water if we didn't pack up and move! I explained everything to the girl on the phone but was told that was all the owner said. So at 9:30 at night, in an icy 14°, we had to pack EVERYTHING back up, load it all back in our rig then carry it all back up into a different cabin that now had two queen beds, no sofa/futon, and at 10 pm I was setting everything BACK up in a room we never wanted and it wasn't what we paid for. And we got, "Sorry." Totally not cool with that. We were already looking to come back another night this week before my husband left again and then book again the weekend after next for a couple nights when he came back. This would have been our routine for probably forever. But packing so much stuff back up in the dark and ice at night (a car had slid into a tree in the cabin next door for reference) without so much a word from anyone...not good. Glad the owners weren't bothered and the customer was the only one inconvenienced by their poor maintenance (does housekeeping not use hot water to clean the tubs?). When we moved to the new location the front desk said there were Instahots in the rooms so my husband took a shower then when I went to take a bath....nope, no hot water. But there was a used towel on the back of the door from the previous guest. As for me, I will gladly go to Quinn's until we find a new favorite spot. Lousy.…
We always stay at this motel whenever we are in the area. We have been staying here for about 8 years. The rooms are always clean and the people are very friendly. We have stayed in the Fisher last couple of times we were there. We also stayed in number one for a week when my grandson graduated from high school loved it, came in handy because it had a big refrigerator so we could put slot of food for family party.
We rented a cabin (Blackfoot?) with two queen beds down near the pond for 2 nights. It was well kept, clean, nicely decorated and appointed. It had a nice porch to sit on and nearby BBQ. Owners take great pride in this property. Would definitely stay here again.
This is a gem! We stayed in a supreme double queen room. It was comfy, clean, convenient, quiet. This is an immaculately kept motel. The rooms are spacious. The cabins are wonderful. There is ample parking if you have a trailer to park. They have a great routine to handle the Covid limitations.
