We stayed at the spectacular Coyote Bluff Estate in mid September, and, honestly, it is one of the most beautiful inns we have ever stayed in--anywhere. Not only are Rita and Eric the best hosts, who make you feel totally welcome and part of their family, but the property is gorgeous. Everything about the inn is perfect--the decor, the suites, the view, the landscaping. We stayed in the Honeymoon Suite which is spacious and over-the-top beautiful with vaulted log ceilings and a lovely deck overlooking Flathead Lake. If you get a chance to stay at this outstanding inn, don't miss the opportunity! We can't wait to go back!
My husband and I traveled from Philadelphia to this beautiful estate...We had no pre-conceived notions of what our stay was going to be like but we just knew that it would be a special time for us from the pictures that we saw on the website... As we drove up the mountain to the top, we saw a family of deer which was a delight.. When we arrived, we were greeted warmly by Rita so we immediately felt welcomed and at home. There is a basket of freshly laundered slippers by the door as this is a "no shoes" home for very good reason...You may opt to go barefoot, with socks or the slippers that are provided - up to you . There are beautiful hardwood floors throughout and this is one way that they can be kept this way ! We had no problem with this as when we go to our daughters home, we immediately take off our shoes as well ......keeps from tracking in whatever was walked on outside ... When we saw the view from the patio that overlooks Flathead Lake, my eyes immediately teared up ... The clouds, the blue sky and the view were nothing short of magnificent ! We spent 5 nights here and I could have easily never left the patio! There are comfy chairs, a day bed, a fire pit and beautiful music piped outdoors...What else does one need to relax ? We are not wine drinkers but there is always wine available from a well stocked cache. Our room which was the Glacier King Suite was lovely .... There were two windows where you could see the sun come up or down ...along with a window seat where you could perch yourself and relax with a magazine or a book . There was also a "fun" aspect to this room ... A sled was perched on a very, very large shelf which could be seen from the bed - There were white lights that would accentuate this novelty but there was a remote that you could change the color... What fun ! Any techi would LOVE this house ... Shades are on a timer on the first floor of the home along with other type switches that most of us wouldn't find in our own homes. Fresh towels were provided daily along with a drawer full of things that one might have forgotten to bring along ...toothpaste and brushes, razors and shaving cream, q-tips , makeup removers ... Shower gel and shampoo was also provided. I am not sure what kind of shampoo was in those little bottles but my hair never looked better . In the morning, yogurt, fresh fruit, fruit juices, coffee and some special pastry or baked good was provided . A breakfast bar had just been added outside of our room a few days before we arrived . The first day we ate in our room but the rest of the week, Eric set up our breakfast on the kitchen counter so that we could either eat in the dining area with the beautiful view or eat outdoors on the patio with that magnificent view. (We opted to eat out on the patio most mornings which overlooks Flathead Lake) The other two bedrooms each have a balcony so anyone in those rooms may opt to grab things from the breakfast bar on that floor and eat on their balcony. All I had to do was to mention that we would like to eat on the patio and Eric and Rita made that happen . We also opted to have the special dinner that they offered and they gave us many options to choose from... We started out on the patio (again) with Brie and toasted crudite and then came in for our next course which was a luscious tomato, basil soup ...I am sure that the basil came from the huge pot growing on the patio. Next, we had a lovely salad with cranberries, nuts and bleu cheese . Our main entree was risotto, green beans with bacon and a wonderful filet which was cooked to perfection... Rita did the amazing cooking and Eric was our "waiter" ... The table was set with crisp linens and cloth napkins as well as beautiful china. Rita recommended places to see in the area and things to do so our days were all filled with fun . My husband and I over the years have visited over 70 bed and breakfasts and have honestly , never had but one not so great experience. Rita and Eric set the bar pretty high when it comes to hospitality and making one feel at home. They are there when you need them but behind the scenes when you don't ... and one last thing... CHOCOLATE on my pillow the first night and in the room every night thereafter.…
Our stay at Coyote Bluff Estates was fabulous! Rita and Eric were the most gracious of hosts. We felt so welcomed. The estate was gorgeous and Rita and Eric paid such close attention to detail. We highly recommend a stay at this beautiful estate with such beautiful people! Darlene and Jim
A quick weekend trip to celebrate a birthday and what a great choice for a place to stay. The home is immaculate and the views are second to none. Hosts Eric and Rita are accommodating and made sure any need was met. We would suggest this property for any couple looking for an upscale quiet getaway.
My husband and I stayed here during a special celebration trip and I cannot say enough about how fabulous this home and the hosts Eric and Rita are!! My only dissapointment was that they only had one night available when we booked our trip. The home is beyond spectacular and the view of Flathead lake and the valley is breathtaking. We were welcomed with wine and a wonderful cheese platter served on the patio next to a toasty fire. I was in Heaven! Our room was spacious, spotless and the view from our room was amazing. We woke to coffee, fresh fruit, pastries, yogurt, juice. We didn't want to leave and can't wait to go back.
