If you have to stay in Silver Gate, then this may very well be your best option. But if you can stay somewhere else, I'd recommend it. Silver Gate is a VERY small town, with only one (mediocre) restaurant, and the hotel options are limited. The proprietor of the Grizzly Lodge was friendly and welcoming, but unfortunately that wasn't enough... More

If you want an upscale hotel with wireless Internet and dozens of TV channels, this is not for you. We wanted a quiet accommodation close to the Northeast corner of Yellowstone and Lamar Valley, and our expectations were fully met. The location is beautiful. It's half a mile to the Northeast entrance to the park; on the other side there... More

Rooms are dated, there is a tv which plays one channel which is a shopping channel. The rooms are clean and having a separate bedroom is nice. No wi fi, but the location is beautiful. There was a bear problem, a grizzly and some black bears hanging around and destroying cars for food. The management was very concerned about the... More

I would have given this place a rating of "1", except for the fact that the manager, Bob, was super friendly and went out of his way to be helpful. The owners of this place have a better manager than they deserve for the dingy accommodations they offer at HIGHLY inflated prices. We stayed here because we could not get... More

I would have given this lodge the top rating, but it doesn't have wi-fi or reliable television. I would definitely stay at this lodge again and have recommended it to my relatives who will be traveling out here. I can describe the lodge by saying that it is like going to camp. The rooms were VERY clean and the beds... More

This place is located right outside a northeastern excite of Yellowstone in a very quiet, green and heavenly place. The motel is old but that adds to the charm. Service was good. The place was clean. I recommend it.

There is no cell service, wifi, or tv. The room was functional but dark and gloomy. There were very few places near by to grab food (and those that were, were very expensive). However, if you want to enjoy nature and unplug from the world this is the place to do it! The manager we encountered was nice and allowed... More

Unbelievable ! This place was 50+ years out of date ! Old TV did not work. Shower was small, dark and dingy; shower turned cold if someone else used the water ! Bathroom door would not close properly. No cell service. Toilet would run. Also, when we were there, there were rowdy guests having a grand old time outside. As... More

The surroundings are beautiful but I would consider this place an outdated motel not a lodge. We reserved a Deluxe Two Bedroom Unit - One King Bed, Two Twin Beds for 2 nights. The king bed was soft but they stuck a toilet in a closet in the king room that your knees touched the door if closed and I... More

Stayed in a cabin for one night, very basic, no tv, no internet, but very very quiet and comfortable. Had to fix our door, it would not close. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Only thing that would have made it better was a coffee pot in our room, had to walk down the road for coffee in the morning, will... More
