The only positive thing about this place is that it was clean and located along a creek. The room is unbelievably ancient....pieces of plywood were framed and mounted on the wall as if to cover up holes or whatnot. The double bed even had a headboard of just a piece of plywood. Had hot water after a while but barely any pressure. No plugs in bathroom, no hairdryer. Room was decent size but the whole place definitely needed a remake for the $150/night price we paid. What made up for it? The surrounding beauty. Grizzly Lodge was simply a place to stay and we'll never go back.

Came through on a cold, wet early summer night. Stayed in a one room cabin. Spacious enough and very cozy. We couldn't figure out the hot water in the shower and didn't want to bother the proprietor late at night. Otherwise it could have been 5 stars, especially for the price. Very, very convenient to Yellowstone and late night/early morning wildlife viewing. Unclear on checkout procedure in the morning, so ask upon check in. Perhaps leave key in the room?

We were with a Yellowstone guide for 3 days and this is where we stayed. We had a renovated room so it was cute with a rustic feel. It was cold night with temps in the single digits and the room was nice and warm. Bathroom needs to be updated but the beds were super comfy! Location to Yellowstone is amazing!

Old, dingy and overpriced. I had a room with two beds. One of the beds had worn out springs that sagged when I laid down. The same bed had a major hole in the sheets. The other bed was fine. After just a few minutes of taking a shower, the drain backed up, with the result of standing in one inch or more of sewer water. This was not hygienic to say the least. There was an old coffee maker in the room but no coffee. The room was not economical. Yes, the location is very good to get to Yellowstone but definitively I will not return.

First the positives: Friendly staff, sweet dog and good location near Lamar Valley. Cooke City/Silver Gate is very cute and scenic. Negatives:The bathroom smelled bad so kept door closed. Mattress sagged in middle. Toilet didn’t want to flush and had to lift lid a couple times so it could fill. Thin walls and could hear neighbors easily. At one point I considered going out to the car to try to sleep because the bed was so uncomfortable. We booked a “deluxe” room.
