I wholeheartedly recommend Cowboy Up. Jeff and John are welcoming hosts and their place is beautiful. They gave me the grand tour of their garden -- gorgeous! -- and we had a nice evening chatting on the sunny deck before heading in to Jeff's delicious dinner of chicken (with some kind of magic sauce!), rice, and zucchini fritters with apple... Everything others have said is true. Jeff and John are so welcoming you feel you have known them for years. Prepare to spend the night on a little piece of paradise. The pride they take in their home and gardens is evident everywhere you look. The house is full of interesting pieces and tastefully decorated! The gardens are amazing! The... More

We love love love Cowboy Up Montana. Beautiful setting, comfortable and relaxing home, FABULOUS hosts, great food and conversation. We went back for the 2nd year in a row, and are already talking about a 2017 visit.

We picked this as it was the ideal place to stay overnight on our drive from Washington State to Yellowstone. We could not have picked better, the setting and facilities are fabulous and Jeff and John are the consummate hosts who treated us more like personal friends than customers. I would highly recommend it to anyone for a stopover or... More

My wife and I travelling from Florida to Alaska. We've booked a bunch of hotels along the way. We booked Cowboy Up because it was a convenient driving distance for us and now we are sooooo glad we did. Jeff and John greeted us as we pulled into the driveway. We unloaded our luggage and Jeff gave us a tour... More

Sadly, could stay only one night due to cross-country schedule - next time will stay longer. Great host, gourmet dinner, gorgeous view, delightful other guests. Looks like one of those beautiful western ranches on the HG network. Anyone would be delighted. Clark F

We stayed at Cowboy Up for several nights for the forth summer, this time in mid September 2015. The ranch is in a quiet, scenic location and their delicious dinners featured fresh produce from the garden. In addition, we found the the dinner conversation to be most delightful, our bed quite comfortable and fishing on the nearby Clark Fork river... More

My husband and I stayed at Cowboy Up while in St. regis for the Trail Rail Run. We could not have asked for better accommodations. The property was pristine, the setting beautiful and Jeff and John were awesome hosts. Dinner both nights was delicious (especially the chocolate torte!) and conversation/company was very enjoyable. We will definitely be back next time... More

My spouse and I really enjoyed our short, one night stay. The supper was delicious, the room pleasant and superb company (hosts John and Jeff and fellow guest Wayne). Definitely will stay here again if in Montana. Ian & Daniel.
