Johnson's RV Park is located just outside the St Mary entrance to Glacier N.P.; an ideal location. Facilities are OK, and view of mountains from sites is beautiful. But I have to give a shout out to the Manager / Host, Randy. I arrived onsite to find I had serious undercarriage damage to my 5th wheel that needed welding. In... More

A very special warmth in this restaurant tucked on top of the hill, next to the campground. It offers an impeccable service: attentive but not overwhelmingly. The cuisine is basic but shows a lot of care in preparation and selection of ingredients. The home made bread is absolutely scrumptious as well as the homemade soup. The salads are generously served with... More

I was pulling a trailer with my motorcycle and I indicated that on the reservation. I was assigned spot #2 which was on an embankment up from the road and littered with stumps. I ended up getting my motorcycle stuck in a hole next to a stump and also had it fall over on its side because of the angle... More

Way over priced, half the showers worked and what worked was so dirty, full of hair and trash this is after you have to walk down a VERY steep hill of loose slippery gravel to get to the bath house and the cafe which was over priced and your lunch special was last night's dinner special. There was nothing special.... More

There is very limited accommodations in the area and i arrived without a reservation. I paid about $40 to dry camp in an overflow area that was a fair distance from the showers / washrooms. i didn't have a table but I did get a quiet nights sleep as there was only one other vehicle near me. Rustic would be... More

On our 2 week vacation, we paid more to camp at Johnson's of St. Mary's than any other place, yet it was the worst place we camped. When I stepped out of the truck, I just missed the pile of dog poop! I grabbed a plastic bag and had to pick up 2 more piles!! There was NO privacy!! You... More

Staff were very friendly, however the tenting spot wasn't much more than an un-level shared clearing. There was also no option for bear proof storage (we were on motorcycles). However, the most disappointing part was the small washroom with only two stalls to services the whole campground. Glad we didn't have to use the showers as overall the washroom was... More

This is the best food we have had yet on our trip from NC to Glacier NP (8 days so far). This place is amazing! It was founded decades ago by a Montana ranching family. Family style means good eating at this restaurant. Everything is made from scratch and most of it is locally sourced. Prices are fair for the... More

Was slid into a tight spot along road entrance, no fire pit, no option for outdoor cooking, not enough picnic tables for every site so staff told me when someone leaves, take their table. Really? For the amount I paid. Misleading as we were expecting a place to build a fire and cook. Explored upper campground and would have been... More

The view from the upper campground is fabulous, it is close to the West entrance to GNP, and the restaurant was great although pricey ($36 for breakfast for two). The sites are extremely unlevel and tight. we were not able to open the slide-out in our living area due to trees on the site next to us. The roads on... More
