Property's Favorite Review
We stayed at the Granite cabin for about 36 hours, and our only regret is not staying longer. This cabin is beautiful, with many extra little touches, for example, romantic music on CD, candles around the bathtub, soft comfy robes, binoculars, and bear spray. It is very well appointed with a full kitchen, heated floors, Wi-Fi, a very comfortable bed with very soft sheets. But our favorite part was the spectacular view of the Beartooth mountains and the wildlife on the property. There were deer within view most of the time, as many as seven at one time. We also saw a number of turkeys, and there is a rare breed of cranes on site. Stargazing at night was amazing! So many stars! The owners go above and beyond to make sure that you have a wonderful stay. The town of Red Lodge is a very cute town with lots of nice restaurants and shops. It is also a great gateway to the Beartooth highway, which is a spectacular drive. We will definitely be back and stay longer. We did not want to leave!

This was our 4th stay at Blue Sky and as always before, it was very difficult to leave. Kevin and Tammy are wonderful hosts, very accommodating! We hiked the Redlodge Creek trail, and had an uneventful meeting with a black bear
on the way. Also watched the Sandhill cranes guarding over their nest. Counted over 40 head of Elk on the hills. And heard a bull bugle a couple of times.. on our last morning we had a hen turkey respond to a recording of calls from our phone.
Always enjoy visiting with Kevin about updates on the local wildlife. Kevin and Tammy are always ready to meet any request or need yet very respectful of giving us our space. Enjoyed some spectacular sunsets.
Thank you Kevin and Tammy!

Thank you Thom & Marla for your 5 star review! We are so glad you enjoyed your stay again & you were able to see so much wildlife while you were here & on your hike. Our Montana sunsets are always amazing! And an update on our Sandhill Cranes...their two colts are growing fast & before long they will be flying away to their winter home. So glad you were able to see them from the beginning. It's always an adventure here & we look forward to seeing you again for your 5th visit! :) Cheers! Tammy & Kevin

Kevin and Tammy were such gracious hosts. They were easy to communicate with and lived on the property if you had any questions. My husband and I stayed at the Sylvan Cabin for a couple nights during our honeymoon. We loved the large tub, steam shower, and porch/windows with incredible view! Binoculars and bear spray were provided for use for watching wildlife and hiking. Such a perfect little getaway!

We stayed at the Sylvan cabin while we were on our honeymoon. The cabin is gorgeous and was an awesome getaway. While you are not too far from Red Lodge or Absarokee, you feel very secluded. We absolutely loved the huge tub and the shower was gorgeous. The hosts are AWESOME! They were attentive and responded quickly to us but gave us our privacy as well. Would highly recommend and we will definitely be back!

We stayed in the Granite Cabin and WOW what a view. This cabin was all that we hoped it would be. There were elk wintering about a mile away. Whitetail deer right outside our windows and doors. The bed was unbelievably comfortable and the whirlpool tub got plenty of use. For R&R you can't go wrong with Blue Sky Cabins!! We will definitely stay here again. Kevin met us at the cabin and gave us lots of info for things to do. This was a little slice of Heaven.

We've visited the Red Lodge area before over the years but our stay at Blue Sky was far and away the most relaxing and enjoyable time we've spent there. Kevin and Tammy are wonderful hosts. The cabins are quite comfortable and well appointed but above all the setting simply cannot be beat. This is the getaway you've been looking for. It isn't a question of *if* we'll stay with them again but how soon.

This place was like heaven on earth! We stayed in the Sylvan Cabin and it was perfect. The views were amazing. The cabin was so cozy, clean, incredibly relaxing and had everything we could ever want. The jacuzzi tub was the best. You could soak and look right out at the mountains. It was silent except for different sounds of nature...so many different wildlife all around!!! The bed was so comfy and had plenty of pillows. There was a washer and dryer which was really helpful for us. The owner Kevin was really nice and told us all about the area and wildlife before our first night's stay. This place really was heaven on earth and I recommend it very highly!!!!

Just stayed 4 days here and had a wonderful time. The property is surrounded by miles of open green meadows with snow caped peaks all around. The cabins are clean and very comfy… lots of extra touches like soft sheets and plush robes , steam shower. All the restaurants in Red Lodge are open. We hiked Red Lodge Canyon trail which was gorgeous. Also took a drive to Cooke city and drove through the open part of Bear tooth highway up to top of the world and Island lake. Stunning scenery! Crazy Creek waterfall hike was amazing. Tammy and Kevin are the best hosts ever. Highly recommend coming !!

Thank you so much for your 5 star review! We are so glad you enjoyed your stay during our 500 year flooding! You were still able to do & see so many things while you were here & Red Lodge miraculously opened the town in a very short time! We're glad you liked the amenities of The Spirit Cabin as well! We hope to see you again in the near future at 'Blue Sky'! Thanks again! Tammy & Kevin

Kevin and Tammy are amazing hosts. The cabins are private, unique, and have spectacular views of wildlife and the mountains. We appreciated the opportunity to look through a scope to distant elk herds with Kevin and also enjoyed our own wildlife scouting from the bench over the pond. It's peaceful and quiet and a little bit of an oasis surrounded by Spruce forest and an Aspen lined drainage to the pond. We loved watching the Sandhill cranes on the island. We're thinking it would be a wonderful escape in the winter too since we love to ski. If you can visit, go!

The cabins are no-pets, no children.
No hook ups. Just a beautiful site for the cabins.
I'm sure you can find what you need elsewhere...
We went in the winter, but I believe there is a window unit.
The closest airports are either Billings, Montana or Cody, Wyoming. Both are an hour and a half from 'Blue Sky'. There is also an airport in Bozeman, Montana but it is a little farther away at two and a half hours drive.
We do not offer Wifi here, however if you have a jet pack or can use your smartphone as a hot spot, we have very good reception with Verizon. There are also several places in Red Lodge that offer free wifi. Most of our guests are happy to disconnect for a few days & enjoy the peace & quiet and wildlife. :)
