We rented a studio suite for a wedding, and for the bride and bridal party to get ready on the 4th of July weekend. Upon checking in, the gals up front had suggestions to make sure our stay in Red Lodge during the busy weekend was as easy as possible. They had the hours of the grocery store, restaurants, event schedule at the tips of their fingers, so any question were readily answered. They were incredibly kind. As a bonus, especially for this dog mom, is that they are pet friendly. They have rest areas for dogs with and provided us with a welcome bag for our fur baby. I met another group of people who were there for a family reunion, and having a pool for the kids to play in was a highlight of the property for them. With the bridal party going in and out, we had a pretty busy room and up front they asked if there was anything more they could do to help and if we did need anything, to just ask. For the price, the room was awesome. It had a small kitchen, large living/dining/sleeping area and was super clean. With it being such a busy weekend, I still felt that they treated every guest with an easy, friendly approach. And when we checked out, they asked to meet our rescue pup, which sealed the deal for me. I highly recommend!

Chateau Rouge is actually a collection of privately owned rental condo hotel units, so be sure to pick your room carefully, as some owners have done more with decor than others. Our choice (unit 108) was quite nice - the hostess recommended it at time of reservation - with modern conveniences tastefully decorated. The property is nicely located with nearby eateries (Red Box Car is a very short walk and good value!) wandering wildlife (deer and wild turkeys), a pleasant indoor pool and hot tub and dog-walking area. The building itself is older and quirky in style but clean and convenient and the staff is very friendly and helpful. Our room had microwave, fridge, coffee pot (and fixings!), kitchenware, two burner range, TV, fast internet and bath amenities. Recommend as a good value overnight stay.

We loved our stay at Chateau Rouge! Erica checked us in and out and she was so friendly and helpful. Each unit is individually owned. We stayed unit 108 upstairs and it was perfect! Updated and lovely. Fans were provided to cool room at night, table and chairs provided on walkway was perfect to enjoy the scenery. Hubby enjoyed the hot tub. Perfect stop to rest before starting The Beartooth Highway. Great location to walk dogs and easy walk to the Red Box Car for dinner and a view.

Perhaps in its early years this was a property that had some redeeming value. It no longer does. It is old, poorly maintained, space is small and many features/fixtures did not work. Because it is now a condo property used only as rentals the management team only responds to the needs of nightly guests and not the 2 remaining timeshare units which we booked into.

Loved this place. Super clean and friendly folks. Nice back yard. Beds were comfy. I really can't find anything but good to say. The rooms do not have A/C, i was concerned , but the rooms just never warmed up at all. I would highly recommend The Chateau.

We reserved one of their nicer rooms only to be reassigned to the room next door which was a complete dump. Carpet coming up, nasty furniture, beds uncomfortable. Room 208. We asked at checkin if the pool was open only to have the kids get their swimsuits on and be told it was closed. We complained about the room and pool and still didn’t get moved to a decent room. The bunk beds in the one room weren’t safe enough for anyone to sleep on. We have been staying here since 1983 and unfortunately with their poor management it is now shady with crack house vibes with questionable employees. I feel sorry for anyone who has investment in these and they would be wise to look into management.

We stop here on a spontaneous visit through bear tooth highway. The amenities are "aged" for very family oriented and comfortable. I would definitely stay here again. We were two moms, a 15 y/o boy and 12 y/o girl. We enjoyed our stay and the real wood fireplace after a day playing in the snow (yes, in July).

Loved this place. It's like taking a step back in time. Cozy, clean, comfortable, and charming. Service was amazing. The husband wife managers were friendly, courteous, and helpful. We came in late on a Sunday night. We were starving. Not a lot open on Sunday night in Red Lodge. These guys started checking on restaurants for us. They found one open gave us directions and sent us off to eat.

When we got back from eating, the fire crackling in the fireplace was a welcome site. After spending so many nights incookie cutter hotels,, this was a welcome change.. I even liked the tan shag carpet going up the stairs. Beds were comfortable. Everything about this place was enjoyable. I will be back.

If you're looking for a cozy place that feels like home. Pet friendly with a full kitchen and living area. Clean and spacious, friendly staff. A hidden gem in a great mountain town. Plenty to do in town. Gateway to the Beartooth Mountain's. An hour from Cody, WY. Authentic Montana.
