I stayed in the Lewis & Clark room for a week, and thoroughly enjoyed the peaceful yet convenient location. It's about 30 minutes north of Polebridge via a gravel road (all the roads on this side of Glacier seem to be gravel), and even getting on the road about 9am every morning that allowed me to get through Polebridge to Bowman and Kintla lakes before the rangers shut down the roads mid-morning. This happens in the busy season due to congestion, since the roads to the lakes are basically one-lane gravel with limited pullouts to pass other cars going the opposite direction, so getting there before mid-morning is important. (Also, bug spray is highly recommended if you plan to do any hiking to ward off flies or mosquitos, depending on the elevation. Buy some in Polebridge if…
The Way Less Traveled was absolutely one of the favorite parts of our trip. It truly felt like home, with lovely hosts and a very friendly dog. The view from the Lewis and Clarke room is amazing, and we hope to never forget it! The drive up from Polebridge is really beautiful, and certainly different from other parts of the Glacier, which we really enjoyed seeing. Oh, and breakfast was delicious!
Paul and Nancy were great hosts. We got to The Way Less traveled later in the evening after a great dinner at the Polebridge Saloon. The house was beautiful inside with amazing views of the mountains. Our room was great with the private bath and huge bed. I sat on the private deck watching the deer in the yard. In the morning fresh coffee and some great pancakes awaited. The next time I am in the area I will be sure to visit again.
After a week camping in Glacier, we ended our honeymoon at most amazing Bed & Breakfast. From the moment we drove into Paul & Nancy's B&B we knew we were somewhere special. The Lewis & Clark room was beautiful inside & out. We were in awe of the view of the Canadian Rockies, and the grizzly bear that walked through the backyard. The breakfast was delicious, and we enjoyed our conversations with Paul & Nancy. We can't wait to go back to the North Fork, and The Way Less Traveled. Happy Trails!!
My husband and I found this wonderful gem to get away from the more touristy areas. The home is absolutely wonderful with amazing views. Paul and Nancy are great people and we enjoyed getting to know them during our overnight stay. This was well worth the drive and we hope to go back to see them again next time we are out that way. The breakfast in the morning and coffee were absolutely delicious! The room and home was very clean and had a very welcoming feel. I would highly recommend anyone to stay here!!
