Glacier National Park has been my dream since childhood. We like off the beaten path and the way less traveled experiences. Could never have imagined that a place as wonderful as "The Way Less Traveled Bed and Breakfast" existed in such a remote setting. I felt totally spoiled staying here in the Lewis & Clarke room. It far exceeded my expectations. It was a gorgeous and spotless room and bath. Everything was comfortable and just right for us. We used the balcony for star gazing, watching sunrises, the views and, of course, the much loved hummingbirds at the feeder. One of our party of three stayed in the cabin, which was equally as comfortable and beautifully decorated. I felt totally relaxed upon stepping out of our vehicle to start our stay. Nancy and Paul felt like

Thank you! I'm so glad you got to visit before the fires started all over the park. The air's thick with smoke, but hope is in sight with the colder temps and rain and snow predicted this week. It was so nice to get to know you and your family. Do come back!

We spent five nights at the Way Less Traveled. Nancy and Paul were amazing hosts. They shared their favorite spots and I loved our conversations. We left feeling like we had made new friends. The rooms were spotless, very comfortable and well appointed, the food wonderful and the location was quiet and beautiful. Privacy was respected, but the hosts were always available to help with anything. I cannot recommend this B&B more highly. I will never forget our eclipse viewing party on their deck. My new dream is go back and spend several weeks at the Way Less Traveled.

Your 5 nights flew by with lots of good conversation and laughs, topped off by the eclipse! We'll never forget the three of you and you'll hold a special place in our hearts. Hope you enjoyed "Beauty and the Beast" on your way home. Thanks for making our week so enjoyable!

We were so pleased with our brief stay in The Way Less Traveled B&B! Lovely hosts, and home, a million dollar view of the Rockies, feisty little hummingbirds on our balcony, and yummy caramel pecan pancakes. I think we are the luckiest people around, after spotting an Albino Fawn with it's mother and twin-who was the normal spotted coloration. Our little Spirit Deer!

We loved having our feisty, exuberant Canadians visit with us. And we're so jealous that we haven't seen that Spirit Deer but we're on the lookout for it! Thank you for your excellent review.

What a wonderful out of the way B&B. Very peaceful and quiet. The view from the Lewis and Clark Room is outstanding. It has a balcony and a view of the mountain ranges. Paul and Nancy do an outstanding job with breakfast and providing guests with suggestions. They also provided us with bear spray for our stay - we didn't have to use it. This was our second stay in the Lewis and Clark and already cannot wait for a return trip. The bed is very comfy and the shower is wonderful. Would recommend for folks who want to get away from the hustle and bustle and have no problem driving a long distance on a gravel/dirt road. Closest town is Polebridge where we usually have dinner and drinks at the Northern Lights Saloon before making the 17 mile journey back to the B&B.

All Who Wander Are Not Lost… The quote is from J. R.R. Tolkien, and this experience is a promise. Although it’s about 50 miles from Columbia Falls on a well maintained gravel road (there is definitely a range of variability), it’s well worth the hour and a half trip. (Fair warning.) I think this is the best B & B experience I’ve had- Nancy and Paul were charming hosts, and treated us like family. Their beautiful home is completely off the grid, but has all the comforts of home. Solar energy is the primary source, with a fireplace, wood stove (also used for cooking), and generator as backup. Besides being extremely kind and friendly, it was fun to see Paul’s photos of wildlife in his backyard, which abuts 100’s of acres of wilderness on the Canadian border.
