5 days of peace, adventure, natural beauty, and being pampered was in abundance at Montanna High Country. This place checked all the boxes. I am 52 and travel often throughout the year. My expectations are usually high. MHC exceeded all of those and more. Facility 5 stars, Activities 5 stars, Food 5 stars, and Staff 5 stars. No more Tahoe, Colorado, or Utah for me because Montanna High Country is the go to place for all things mentioned.

There are not enough words to describe how wonderful Montana High Country Lodge is. The place is beautiful surrounded by mountains and the rooms were spacious and the beds very comfortable. We went to ride snow mobiles and our guides, Domo and Roddy, were incredible. They took us on an adventure and we loved every minute of it. They went above and beyond on our excursion. I can not say enough about Mickey and Julie. The food was amazing (the best food I have ever had) and they made sure we never went hungry. The people who run this place are truly a rare find and I would highly recommend visiting!!

Wow!!!! I do not possess enough superlatives to express how incredible our vacation to The Montana High Country Lodge in Polaris, MT, proved to be!!!! We travelled with 3 other couples for a Winter wonderland pleasure trip that frankly EXCEEDED our expectations!!! How often do you get to say THAT anymore?!?!?!? The lodge was spacious, lovely, & comfortable with a cozy fireplace & towering double-story windows in the main sitting room facing spectacular views of the surrounding mountains. Breathtaking!!! Our rooms were huge & the beds were quite comfortable. The service was equally unparalleled!!!! I had never driven a snowmobile before, but Roddy, Domo, Kim, & Aaron made me feel comfortable, safe, & (after a couple 40ish mile days) much more confident in my abilities than I had been upon arrival, despite a couple head down face-plants into the DEEP snow (I’m talking 4ft of brand new white powder that fell while we were there)😳🙏😀!!! Their guiding services really made our adventures possible!!! Then after hours of riding, we came “home” (& it really did feel like that) to Mickey & Julie’s AMAZING cooking (even though I had sworn after breakfast that I couldn’t possibly EVER be hungry again🥴🤪🤷‍♀️!!!). Prime rib, elk burgers, grilled root vegetables, homemade taquitos, etc—- are you kidding me?!?!? And to top it all off, Kim & Aaron even drove us to the nearby Elkhorn Hot Springs at NIGHT for a soak in a very traditional-style, natural mineral, hot spring-fed pool the likes of which almost don’t even exist anymore. This felt well above and beyond the requirements of “good hosting” status, & our tired muscles REALLY appreciated it!!!🙌😴 I guess my overall impression can be summed up in these words: gorgeous, hospitable, gracious, & delectable!!! We already have reservations to return next year & maybe add to our repertoire with snow boarding🏂😃!!!

My husband and I traveled with two other couples to Montana High Country for snowmobiling and skiing (at nearby Maverick Mountain). We had never been snowmobiling but wanted an adventure. Our guide, Dom, is a true pro. He was both adventurous and patient as he taught us, challenged us and allowed us to have the time of our lives on the snowmobiles. The lodge is pleasantly remote and provides simply breathtaking scenery from every vantage point. We ate all of our meals at the lodge. Mickey is an excellent cook! Even with picky eaters, we all ate very well the entire time. Roddy, one of our hosts, was kind enough to take us skiing and to the Elkhorn Hot Springs. While we truly enjoyed our winter excursion, I am certain that Montana High Country would be the perfect destination for any time of year due to unmatched hospitality. Aaron, Dom, Mickey and Roddy went above and beyond to make sure our entire group had the trip of our lives. So many wonderful memories from this trip!

There aren’t enough words to describe how amazing this trip was. Everyone made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived in Montana. From snowmobiling, to skiing, to soaking in the hot springs, Roddy and Dom were the best guides we could have ever asked for. Mickey’s delicious snacks and meals more than exceeded our expectations. Thank you Montana High Country for making this trip one for the books!!
