What a lovely stay. First the drive up to the property is amazing and turning into it is even better. We were greeted by Roddy and the lodge is beautiful with high ceilings, beautiful mounts, wonderful woodwork, perfectly designed covered porches upstairs and down. The grounds are well kept with 3 ponds spread through out the property. The staff was very friendly and the cook was EPIC. They serve meals if you opt in so be sure to communicate your time of arrival. We did not think to, arrived at 2ish and they had been waiting - which I never want anyone to do for me. We had a remarkable home cooked dinner of rosemary chicken, buttered corn, green beans with bacon, skillet corn bread and huckleberry cheesecake. The bedroom was well staged and the beds were so so comfortable - my expectation of mattress quality in Polaris was low - it far exceeded my expectations. My hubby and I went to crystal park to dig but there are a lot of activities in the hood during the summer. I highly recommend staying here and will 100% be back.

Roddy said it was under new ownership and I was overly impressed.

Happy to have spent 5 days at Montana High Country’s lodge. The lodge and staff provide a family atmosphere and do everything they can to exceed expectations - which they easily do! The lodge is very comfortable with spacious accommodations. They guided us for 3 days through an endless trail system that is accessible right from the lodge. The staff were very knowledgeable and had overtly positive, helpful attitudes. Both Maverick ski mountain and the Elkhorn hot springs are minutes down the road. The lodge’s meals are worth the trip even if you never venture out into the Montana wilderness.

There are not enough words to describe how wonderful Montana High Country Lodge is. The place is beautiful surrounded by mountains and the rooms were spacious and the beds very comfortable. We went to ride snow mobiles and our guides, Domo and Roddy, were incredible. They took us on an adventure and we loved every minute of it. They went above and beyond on our excursion. I can not say enough about Mickey and Julie. The food was amazing (the best food I have ever had) and they made sure we never went hungry. The people who run this place are truly a rare find and I would highly recommend visiting!!

Our stay at Montana High Country will be one we remember forever. The lodge is surrounded by beautiful views of the mountains. They have wonderful guides to help you and the best, scenic snowmobiling trails. Their guide Dominic was patient and resourceful and created a fun time for the family in the snow. They are minutes away from a fun ski lodge. I really appreciated the nice bedding, and my mattress was the most comfortable one I’ve ever slept on. Kim and Aaron are wonderful hosts and truly cared about my family having a great time. The chef Mickey made the most amazing food and was able to easily adjust to dietary needs. She made classic Montana meals and lots of huckleberry lemonade, milkshakes, and pancakes. I want to go back every year. So glad we got to go!

We stayed at the Montana High Country Lodge and had the best time! The lodge was beautiful and surrounded by snowy mountan views in all directions. The staff was excellent and provided wonderful meals and a family feel. We had so much fun snowmobiling in the mountins with our guides Roddy and Dominic. We even had lunch in a warming hut in the mountains with a fire for a rest before venturing on, covering over 40 miles. Sking at near by Maverick Mountain was also perfect and not too crowded. We finished the evening at a nearby hot springs to relax under the stars. The staff transported us everywhere we wanted to go and were perfect hosts. We highly recommend a winter vacation stay at this first class outfitter lodge.

My husband and I traveled with two other couples to Montana High Country for snowmobiling and skiing (at nearby Maverick Mountain). We had never been snowmobiling but wanted an adventure. Our guide, Dom, is a true pro. He was both adventurous and patient as he taught us, challenged us and allowed us to have the time of our lives on the snowmobiles. The lodge is pleasantly remote and provides simply breathtaking scenery from every vantage point. We ate all of our meals at the lodge. Mickey is an excellent cook! Even with picky eaters, we all ate very well the entire time. Roddy, one of our hosts, was kind enough to take us skiing and to the Elkhorn Hot Springs. While we truly enjoyed our winter excursion, I am certain that Montana High Country would be the perfect destination for any time of year due to unmatched hospitality. Aaron, Dom, Mickey and Roddy went above and beyond to make sure our entire group had the trip of our lives. So many wonderful memories from this trip!

It is rare to return to a vacation location and find something new. At Montana High Country Lodge it feels like the first time with each visit. The Owners and staff are more accommodating than any all inclusive resort that I have experienced. "This is Your trip, what do YOU want to do?" is the morning greeting just after your chef inspired breakfast. Over our four day adventures we traveled over 100 miles on our individual Snowmobiles. You return and are met with gourmet snacks. A relaxing shower a quick nap and a chefs dinner awaits. Food is amazing and the Chef will accommodate any dietary needs or request. The Lodge is beautiful and spacious but you still feel as comfortable as if you were in your own living room just visiting with family and friends. "Do You need anything? What can I do for You?" was conveyed at least 8 times a day from the owners and staff. Aaron, Kim, Roddy, Jeff, and Barbie are masters of their profession which makes coming back to reality much harder. I have taken a couples trip first, then this time I took a family trip. All involved on this tip agree that this needs to be an annual pilgrimage. As a small business owner I foresee a retreat planning in the near future. Quality=Amazing, Accommodations=Amazing, Staff=Amazing, Scenery=Amazing, Adventure=Amazing,Price=Amazing, Thank You Montana High Country Lodge for making memories for my family and myself that will last a lifetime. Already booked for next year!!!!! See You Soon.

There aren’t enough words to describe how amazing this trip was. Everyone made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived in Montana. From snowmobiling, to skiing, to soaking in the hot springs, Roddy and Dom were the best guides we could have ever asked for. Mickey’s delicious snacks and meals more than exceeded our expectations. Thank you Montana High Country for making this trip one for the books!!

Our family recently returned from our stay at the Montana High Country Lodge and had a wonderful time. This place is a hidden gem. It's remote, but you'll forget you're remote because they provide all the comforts of home. Comfy rooms and delicious food. Roddy welcomes you when you check-in and gives you a tour of the lodge and information about the area. The hospitality continues with Jeff and Barbie providing delicious homemade meals, great conversation and wanting to make your stay perfect. We were there for our son’s wedding and did not have time to take advantage of the available activities, but there is plenty to do no matter your age or interest. The sweeping views from the lodge will be forever ingrained in your memory. You will have a wonderful time.

When can we go back? That’s the question my family of five has asked since we left the Montana High Country Lodge. It was truly an amazing experience from the time we walked in the door of the lodge. Aaron, Kim, Roddy, Dominic and Mickey made us feel at home. We had so many Montana adventures as a family—pheasant hunting, hiking a mountain trail up to a beautiful lake, fly fishing, exploring the mountains, digging for crystals, enjoying the nearby town, s’mores by a campfire...
All the while, we were completely spoiled with Mickey’s cooking. It was amazing! My family has been on several trips, but our trip to Montana High Country Lodge has surpassed them all. We all feel like we truly experienced a part of Montana. We miss everyone at the lodge, and we miss Montana. I think that speaks volumes. Thank you for an unforgettable time!
