We are located in beautiful Grasshopper Valley, Montana and right off the Pioneer Mountains Scenic Byway, just a short drive from Maverick Mountain Ski Area, as well as the Elkhorn Hot Springs, a natural hot spring. Stop by and sample our delicious food and try a classic Moscow Mule, served in a traditional copper mug by our friendly staff!
This was a very clean and comfortable place to stay. The check-in process was convenient. We only stayed one night and it was just a short distance to Elkhorn Hot springs and Crystal Park The breakfast was only served between 8 and 830am so we missed it because we were lazy. I would definitely stay there again.

We loved our stay here!! The atmosphere is so friendly, like visiting family. The room was clean. Coffee and breakfast every morning were great! We look forward to returning sometime. The owners are so friendly and welcoming.
This is very convenient to Crystal Park and Bannack State Park. Make sure you bring snacks and drinks, for your trips to these parks with you before you leave town when you visit as neither location has any and there isn’t a convenience store nearby.

We had an enjoyable stay here, pretty decent for a small out of the way hotel. Clean rooms and pretty comfy beds. Bar and restaurant were fun, food was adequate. Staff was friendly. Certainly not a Four Seasons, but for a hotel in the middle of nowhere Montana it served its purpose. Lots to do around the area, incredibly beautiful.

We stayed here because the hotels in Jackson did not have enough space for the group we were traveling with. What a great problem to have. Our stay with Justin and Sheri could not have been better. As new owners they already have their act together. I saw somewhere that the property was built in 1974 but the only clue to this in the rooms is the crazy green fixture colors, otherwise a very well maintained room, and property. Although they do not serve lunch or dinner they have great advise for local choices.

We had a wonderful stay at the Grasshopper Inn B&B and we highly recommend it! This Inn is set in the beautiful Grasshopper Valley surrounded by the Pioneer Mountains and has amazing views & gorgeous horses. Sherri and her husband, Justin, and their family purchased and reopened the Inn in mid-September so please disregard the prior, older reviews. They have put their heart and soul into renovating this beautiful, very clean, property. Sherri was very responsive from before we made our reservation until we checked out. She made us an awesome breakfast! We felt very welcome & look forward to visiting again soon. We also had a delicious dinner at the historic Elkhorn Hot Springs Lodge restaurant nearby. We also recommend visiting the ghost/mining towns of Bannack & Coolidge nearby as well as driving the beautiful Pioneer Mountain Scenic Byway.

We happened upon the Grasshopper Bed and Breakfast on our way to Crystal Park. The new owners were fantastic! They have created a very comfortable room setting. Sheri was more than accommodating our entire stay. The breakfast was outstanding. They have created a fun community feeling space where we sat with some others who were also staying. (There are plenty of tables, you are not required to sit with strangers)

The owners were extremely friendly & more than accomodating. Breakfast was awesome & the surroundings are picture book Montana. A rare find with a plethora of fun outdoor activities; from hiking & fishing to cross country/downhill skiing in the winter. We'll be back for sure

We absolutely loved our stay here. Justin was so fun and made a point to know each of us by name. Sheri was fantastic working on getting a delicious breakfast out each morning. Everything was so clean and the apartment was so accommodating for our family. Definitely worth the stop!

We stayed at the Grasshopper one night as a group of bicyclists in May after reading the very positive reviews on Tripadvisor and hearing good things from several friends. It was NOT a good experience. I'd made our reservations in February, and was unsure that the person who took the reservation understood what he was doing, so called back the next day to make sure that we indeed had the reservation, and was assured by a different person that yes, they had our credit card and name and everything was good. When we arrived in May, there was no record of our reservation (though they did show me every reservation card they had, with the credit card number of every person who had made a reservation), and it took over 45 minutes before my husband and I were finally given, somewhat reluctantly, Room 4. (I couldn't figure out at that time why they would be reluctant to give us that room. Later, it became clear.) We unpacked and showered and went to eat, excited by the good reviews of the meals. To our disappointment, nearly all of the items on the dinner menu were unavailable - we had only three choices, even though it was early in the evening. Similarly, the next morning we weren't even given menus, and were told only four items were available for breakfast. By far the worst thing was that both my husband and I were bitten by BEDBUGS; he had fresh blood on the sheet on his side of the bed in the morning and we found one live bug in our bed in the morning. Never having seen a bedbug, and because we had no internet access, we thought it was some kind of tick, and brought it home with us in case either of us developed a fever. I also found four-five dead bugs on the linoleum floor in the sink area and put them in the garbage. One pillow had what seemed to be a bunch of debris inside the case, and now we know it was actually bedbug carapaces and dead bugs. Once we were home, more bites appeared. We went online and learned we had brought home a live bedbug, not a tick. The bites were identified by a doctor as bedbug bites, and I had over 70 bites all over my body which became extremely itchy and ugly. We had to go to extreme measures to eradicate the possibility of any bedbugs in our home or luggage. I called the Grasshopper to let them know so they could have the room closed and the place fumigated. I also hoped for an offer of a refund of our night's rental. I was told someone would call me. No one ever did. I called several days later, repeated my story, and was told they'd never had bedbugs and I must have gotten them elsewhere. I told the person with whom I was speaking that I'd brought one home from their sheets and seen a number of dead ones on the floor of our room, plus the stuff in the pillowcase. He then told me they'd had the place fumigated just two weeks before we arrived, and promised someone would call me. No one ever called. I have called four more times, but no one has ever called me back, and now people just hang up on me. While I'd love to have the same experience that so many others have raved about, I'm very sad to report that most of the folks who are working at the Grasshopper 1) don't know how to make reservations, 2) don't buy enough groceries to support the basic menu they offer for two meals in a row, 3) don't apologize when something has gone terribly wrong (like BEDBUGS) but instead deny any responsibility and repeatedly promise that someone will call. My first impulse was to let the Grasshopper know so that they could address the problem so no one else would get bedbugs, but their reaction seemed to be to deny it ever happened and ignore my calls. So I feel the need to post this on Tripadvisor to let others know. Check the beds, check the pillows, check the mattresses, check the floors. You don't want bedbugs, trust me.
