We were traveling from Glacier National Park to Portland, Oregon and this place was on the way. It was within 200 miles of Whitefish, where we stayed at Glacier, which allowed is to spend most of the day at the other side of Glacier. I booked this place in February for an August stay. It was a pretty drive down... More

The Dew Duck Inn is just a small hotel - 8 or 9 rooms in all. The staff is very friendly and helpful. While this is an older building, they have done a lot to update the interiors and make sure that all needs are met by those staying there. We had 2 beds in our room, a refrigerator, a... More

I frequently stay in Plains, I always try to stay there. ( They have a high occupancy rate ) The rooms are always clean, neatly appointed, A/C or heat as needed, sometimes in the same day :) . The owners know me by name, and always ask if I am traveling with my family. In doing this they get me... More

We spent four nights at the Dew Duck Inn -- what a cute motel! Each room had a different theme, and it was clean and well-maintained. The owners were incredibly helpful and went out of their way to make us feel welcome and to answer our questions. This is THE place to stay in Plains!!

We stayed one night w/out a reservation and luckily we were able to get in. Normally it's better to plan ahead as it's a small place so rooms get booked pretty quickly. Extremely clean, you could smell the "clean" as soon as you opened the door to the room. Nothing fancy but certainly everything you need in a motel. Erich... More

This place is super charming, immaculately clean and the owners are very nice and personable. I stay in many hotels for work and this is one of my favorites. Rooms have everything you need, like flatscreen tv, wifi, microwave, refrigerator and coffee maker. I will keep coming back!

A simple motel to spend the night at, with no delusions of grandeur. Came to the area for a funeral and needed a place to spend the night. Have driven by the motel before and had no interest in staying there because it's a tiny, old motel in a small, Montana town (in this case, "small town" equals neither charming... More

This is the typical motel from the fifties; right along the highway, one level and you can park your car right in front of your door. I loved it. Considering the name, our room was a combination of homey looking patchwork and ducks - all in blue and white. Very friendly gregarious owner at the front desk with recommendations for... More

Stayed here one night and it was great. Room nice size and immaculate. Charlotte and Dewey greeted us and were very friendly. Really enjoyed talking to Erich about the area and wildlife near the hotel. Night we were there saw a number of deer right in the yard. Also the electric went out due to a storm and Erich came... We stayed 3 nights when the temperature was over 100 and we were thankful for the air conditioning, which worked great! The place is small, but has everything you need, including space to sleep an entire family. It has a small fridge, microwave, coffee maker, wifi and satellite TV. Everything worked great, except for the toilet, which we had to... More
