At The Wren, guests have called out the hotel's strong value, highlighting its reasonable rates coupled with quality amenities, despite some concerns over additional fees. The spotless rooms and praised cleanliness, along with high-quality toiletries, reflect the hotel's modern, minimalist vibe. Exceptional staff service frequently exceeds guest expectations, further enhancing the Wren's appeal. Situated in a prime downtown location, it's a hit for its proximity to local attractions, though the lack of in-room fridges and microwaves has been noted by some travelers.

I could not be more pleased with my stay at The Wren! Everything is so clean and comfortable and the staff are incredibly helpful and warm! This location in downtown Missoula is perfect if you want to walk to Create Art Bar to make a cool craft while having a cocktail, have a yummy dinner at one of many delicious restaurants close-by or a nightcap at Plonk.

The pine and metal designs of the room furnishings are ingenious and sleek. The linens are high quality with soft, crisp sheets The toiletries (Malin & Goetz) smell fabulous. Each room has its own “Travel Designs” featuring Montana Outdoor Destinations. Mine was a block print of Glacier National Park and Fire Lookout Towers. The lobby design and art is compelling and includes installations by the Missoula Museum of Art and a fun “Map Room” with comfortable, modern seating, a display of vintage wildland fire-fighting gear and a fun selection of guidebooks and local books.

The Wren is a perfect Missoula destination! Such a treat to stay there!

I was absolutely delighted with my stay at the Wren. The beds were incredibly comfortable with crisp soft linens, I’ve never slept so well away from home. The decor was cool and funky, minimalistic but plenty of style. Oh my god the toiletries smelled so amazing, I wanted to buy the same ones when I got home. I also really loved the staff, I was always greeted with a smile and they really went above and beyond for me on several occasions. The location was also amazing with lots to do within walking distance. They don’t have onsite free parking but the valet is cheap and convenient and you can just park a few blocks away. I also kind of liked that you text the front desk instead of calling, they were responsive and helpful! SO happy I picked them to stay with, they have a ton of little details that really elevated my experience.

The staff at The Wren in downtown Missoula, MT are the most dedicated motel/hotel employees I have ever met. They bent over backwards to provide a great room and experience during our stay. Great location downtown makes for easy walking to shops, restaurants, walking paths by the Clark Fork River, etc. Here’s one of the best parts - our room and the premises passed the “CLEAN” test by my wife and that is very hard to do. If you are looking for luxury accomodations I suggest you try another location but if you want to meet a great staff, have a clean, affordable (each room is unique-no cookie-cutter box motel rooms here) with all the ammenities that you really need then stay at The Wren.

Checking in was easy, Lobby has fresh water, coffee, and newspapers. Coffee bar connected to lobby. Rooms are funky & clean. Each room has shampoo, conditioner, body soap, lotion, make up remover, hand soap, all unique wonderful smells. Anything you need just ask, everyone was so accommodating and friendly. Walking distance to groceries, great restaurants, bars, and the very beautiful river front.

We were traveling to Missoula with our 3 young children (2/4/6) and upon reading up on the highly rated Wren we learned they had bunk bed rooms adjoining to a king. This was so ideal for our party of 5 and really made our trip special for the kids to have a fun space and for the adults to have their own! There was a little mixup with making sure our rooms were adjoined but Nick and the staff worked hard behind the scenes and had it all fixed for us hours before we checked in! The beds are comfy, loved the Malian+ Goetz soaps and the layout is very organizational friendly for unpacking. It’s a very intentional/thoughtful space and we had an amazing time. Everything was in walking distance for dinners, the park and our nightly walks eating ice cream by the Clark fork River.

I really enjoyed my stay at the Wren. We are a dog family and they were awesome with the pet treats and toys upon check in. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The location in downtown allowed us to walk around and enjoy the local atmosphere. The family had several rooms and multiple pets, the ease of getting from family member to member was great.

They are a "trendy" Minimalistic hotel. The bed was comfortable, the sheets are soft, and the towels were very nice. The staff was friendly and courteous. The downside is that they are pretty pricy for what you are getting. There is no closet, (4 hangers on a bar out of the wall) , one hook in the bathroom for wet towels, (I guess only one person is supposed to shower.) No refrigerator, which we asked why, and they informed us that we could get one on request. Which we did and they brought to the room and plopped in the middle of the room. (There goes the minimalistic look) "You could also get a cooler and fill it with ice from the machine down the hall." Parking is very difficult, but you could pay an addition $20 on top of the $400 plus you are already spending for the room to get valet parking. I think if the rooms where priced in the $200 range it might be worth the money. The hotel is centrally located in town and there are some nice places to eat within walking distance. I would suggest calling around prior to booking. There are other hotels located on the same street with much better pricing. My daughter had recommended the Wren as it is "new in town" but she was shocked when I told her what we were paying.

We chose the Wren for its downtown location and pet friendly. The bed was comfortable and we liked the oversize shower. Nice newer hotel with a fun, hip vibe. Everyone at the front desk was so friendly to our little dog. There was even a friendly local brown cat who lived down Main Street and greeted us most times we took Ruby for a walk and trailed after us for 15-30 minutes. Odd. We only planned to stay one night, but the smoke from the wild fires in Canada wrecked our plans to visit Glacier National Park. So we extended out stay. The Wren offered us a great rate of $99 for each additional night. Thanks Wren. You turned a one night stay into 3 and we spent more $ at local shops and restaurants. We used one additional day to visit the National Buffalo Range in nearby Charlo. We saw over 100 buffalo on 20 mile drive. Lots of restaurants within walking distance of the Wren. Our favorites were Bigga Pizza down Main Street and Conflux, right across the street. If you are into art, check out the nearby Missoula Art Museum (free admission!). They currently have an exhibit by a neon artist whose work is also on display in the Wren’s lobby

Amazing property in the heart of Missoula. From the front desk staff to housekeeping staff you’re treated as royalties. Once you enter your room you arrive in a posh well decorated room, then comes your bathroom with a huge walkin shower that can fit 6 people. A bonus of course is the daily pass to the Peak gym where Dan the OPS Manager welcomes you and takes care of you as your a local. Past reviews stated an issue with parking, but I had no issues at all.

The complimentary sparkling waters in the lobby were a nice touch and the entire hotel felt very welcoming. The staff were very attentive and helpful in answering questions as well.
