I didn't know what to expect; the Livingston Inn is a family owned motel; check-in was nice ( the small lobby/office was filled with people. probably all family. We stayed in room 4; all rooms are level entrance and the hallway is filled with cool pictures. The room had a very strong smell of cleaning chemicals when we arrived and we opened the door, window and had the A/C going to get rid of it. We had everything we needed, like powdered coffee creamer, coffee, tea, etc. All the bathroom products are big bottles of soap, shampoo, etc. We had a recliner, round table a chair (which had to double as a nightstand), good amount of outlets (no USBs); the room was on the small side, so we had to close our carry-ons to store them in the room. It was quiet, and had good heat. The bed was very comfy, pillows were okay and it was clean enough. The office was not open in the morning, even though they were supposed to be open at 8am. No breakfast, but we went out. Yes, we would stay again.

Perfect room for solo YNP visit. Very clean, quiet, and affordable. Small, maybe, but who's staying in their room on a trip? A clean bed and bathroom (with great towels) and cable TV are my only necessary room needs, and this had all that. Will definitely stay here again.

When you look on Google maps it shows train tracks in front of the motel. We never heard a train. We never heard our neighbors. Our queen room was small, if you compare to big brand motels, but we did have a table and chairs. Great use of a small space. The bed and very comfortable (semi-firm).

So when we first got to the rooms we were disappointed that they were rather small for the price. However the staff husband and wife were very pleasant and accommodating. The place is rather old but has been remodeled, it is very clean and has no unpleasant odor as many motels do. The bed was very comfortable however there is no breakfast included. We stayed there 2 nights as we used it for a base visiting Yellowstone. It is located right off the highway and has railroad tracks going next to the parking lot. No trains were using them while we were there. We would stay there again. No pool

I noticed an extra $50 charge after we checked out and thought it was a pet fee charged twice by accident. We arrived very late and left very early. After contacting management, I learned that we were charged for stolen pillow cases. Right. Oldest trick in the book. With no recourse options or a way to appeal, they stopped responding. Housekeeping did not empty or clean the refrigerator and the trash cans had prior guest’s garbage so it’s likely that the poor housekeeping is responsible for the missing pillowcases. Ultimately, we were scammed out of $50, so take extra caution.

Stopping in Livingston for the night on way to Little Big Horn Battlefield. We noticed this place right by the interstate. It doesnt look like much from the street, kind of like an old esoteric place. The parking lot was kind of muddy. We didnt expect much. Wow were we wrong. The room was like a cabin in the woods. It had a separate room with a TV and a couch and a desk. The main room was large and the bathroom was roomy. The view out the window was of the mountains and awesome. This was a superb experience.

This motel is clean, the flooring in the bathroom and the room was fairly new, the place has been well kept. The price is good for the area ad the staff are friendly. It is also a good location, near the interstate. Not a deluxe, luxurious motel, but the price is right!

We were passing through the area and needed a place to stay for the night. This place exceeded our expectations and was very nice! We stayed in a 2 queen room. We loved the western room themes, and ours had fun decor like horseshoe towel racks. The eggplant purple carpet was awesome as were the lavender towels, definitely set apart the place when compared to standard white towels and hotel carpet. The heater kept our room as warm as we wanted. The outer hallway (which got really cold) had fun wildlife photos donning the walls like a gallery of sorts. They gave us an extra rollaway bed free of charge, which was so nice! As a side note, there was a booking discrepancy--the owner had the incorrect date in his system for our stay, but thankfully they had availability for us the night we needed and there were no issues. There is a McDonald's across the street if you need a cheap bfast since bfast isn't included. The lodging price was very reasonable, and the surrounding mountains were very scenic...we would love to come back again and explore the area!

We were looking for something a bit out of the ordinary and we found a gem! Someone who travels planned this very smart use of space. They did a quality refurbishing of Cowboy Western themed rooms with knotty pine, sisal rope framing of Cowboy and Wildlife pictures, and lots of horseshoe accessories. There were more than the usual too few plug-ins (3 sets of 4 plugs each, plus a 6 plug-in power strip), and very comfortable beds. We appreciated the use of a heat pump heater and large bottles of shampoo, conditioner , soap and lotion that stay there, instead of little take-with-you bottles. Travelers can enter at any time using a key code they told us when we called for the reservation. No need to visit the front desk. The towels and bedding were good quality. We would definitely stay here again.
