Worst experience. I feel humiliated and victimized. My fiance and I own a real estate appraisal business and we travel frequently. This one takes the cake. I live in Portland Oregon but travel to Lewistown Montana every few months to visit my mother who is a resident of the state mental health nursing care facility there. Visiting my 66 year... More

If you're looking for a modern well insulated and quiet hotel where you don't hear a sound this isn't the place to stay. If you want a hotel with character that is historic and was saved instead of demolished this is your hotel. We stayed here on our trip home from Glacier and absolutely loved it. The rooms are large... More

Loved visiting this renovated hotel in a sweeet town. They have done a wonderful job with rooms, overall ambience. Unfortunately the fact that it is for sale is very obvious in lack of staffing, amenities, upkeep, lack of attention to guest needs. Hardest mattress I have ever attempted to sleep on.

We were on our way to Glacier National Park for a week of camping and figured we'd drive until we couldn't anymore. Turns out Lewistown is the only town within 100 miles big enough to have hotels. As we drove into town, tired and drained, every place we passed had their "No Vacancy" light lit. Eventually we made it to... More

We thought we would skip the freeway and head into the heart of Montana on our way back from the West Coast to North Dakota. This was our one big splurge for ourselves this summer. What a disappointment. The internet was slow and almost non-exsistant. When I called the hotel lobby to tell them about it, their response was "Oh... More

This hotel has such history, and they did a wonderful job refurbishing the rooms to create a special experience. We stayed in a corner room because it was spacious, and included a fireplace. The bathroom was outstanding, with a wonderful double-headed shower and a clawfoot bathtub. It looks like there used to be a bar/restaurant in the basement, but it... More

We spent one peaceful night at this converted school house, a block from Main Street. The exterior was interesting, but a bit neglected. Flower boxes were either empty or planted pitifully. Upon entering, a musty smell greeted us, so at first we were a little concerned with the quality of the lodging. We had nothing to fear. The king suite... More

We chose to stay at this hotel on our recent road trip across the US. Outside appearance is deceiving but enter the hotel to your room and you find a gem. It has been restored to its glory days. This said it does not have elevators. The rooms are clean, air-conditioned, the beds comfortable and the bathroom is beautiful. The... More

We initially thought we'd only stay one night in Lewistown, but our stayat the Calvert convinced us to stay another. We look for clean, quiet and comfort and the Calvert accommodated us. The history of the hotel and the attention to detail made it a special treat. The beds were extremely comfortable. It seems to be a destination point for... More

Wonderful, friendly, helpful desk and custodial staff! Each one went out of their way to make our stay memorable. The hotel itself is clean, comfortable and cozy, even with some squeaky floors to remind us of the building's historic background. Some rooms have fireplaces and massive bathrooms. The beds are great! Centrally located, and good coffee in the morning.
