Who wants to go to Montana and stay in a hotel, right? Not me. (but if you want that kind of stay where people wait on you and know you by ROOM number, go ahead) I'm from South Carolina and I wanted to stay on a local family ranch and feel like a part of a Montana town and that's... More

I was in Montana for vacation to visit GNP with my family and we decided to find a local riding tour through the mountain trails. Had a great time riding and getting to know our guides Ty and Briar. The views from the mountain were fantastic and we got to see a few deer along the way. I definitely recommend... More

The location is very rural with roaming bunnies, horses and a buffalo. Rooms are clean and nicely appointed. Breakfast was very late for some reason. Staff was super friendly and would be a good stay if you are in no rush and want a country experience

On the drive in to the ranch, we saw wild turkeys, whitetail deer, gophers, squirrels, and a dozen feral rabbits. We were warmly greeted by the staff, and introduced to our private cabin, "the Gus". The cabins are clean, comfortable, and decorated in a simple western fashion. The bed was comfortable, and the only noises you hear will be the... More

Sometimes the stars align, such was my experience at Lonesome Dove. I was unable to find an acceptable KOA tent site for an extended visit to Glacier National Park. It was raining and too late to find something in the Park. I figured I'd stay in a motel in Kalispell for one night then try the park for a tent... More

We had booked a 1-hour riding session 2015/09/12. The ranch came highly recommended by the concierge at where we were staying. We were also interested in the dinner and ride and something we would booked on our next trip. On the way we got a flat tire and spent the next 4 hours hanging at the Les Schwab. Upon calling... I had the pleasure of staying for several days at Lonesome Dove Guest Ranch. I have to say I have nothing but praise for this family-like staff. They are kind, considerate and genuinely want you to have the best time you can while you are with them. If there is anything that you need, all you have to do is... More

We stayed in Gus's cabin two nights. It was quaint and comfortable, basic nothing fancy but clean. It's a bed and breakfast establishment and the breakfasts were home cooked and hearty. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The little ranch has horses, cows,2 buffalo and hundreds of "pet" rabbits roaming the place. It was quite fun. My husband and... More

Everyone at Lonesome Dove made the evening wonderful - no stress, easy going including the trail ride, visit the new calf (1 day old) the Bison, yummy dinner, great music during dinner and wonderful hospitality. Our kids really enjoyed the trail ride - saw 5-7 deer just standing watching us casually along the ride. Sweet horses - very easy for... More

Our 37-member Grand Circle Travel tour had dinner at what I later learned is also a B&B, as well as a working ranch. Two cowboys atop horses and carrying flags greeted the motor coach. Our group had a tour of the ranch: cattle, bison (not buffalo), horses…you name it. Although we came for dinner, one of the bison eyed me... More
