So my stay's not over and I'm already reviewing it--we're staying in the "Glacier" cabin, a clean, newish 2 BR with full kitchen. Staff checked us in promptly--no issues with the reservation. The place is about 8 miles from the west park entrance, convenient to basic needs in Hungry Horse. As mentioned, there is some highway and occasional train noise.... More

We stayed in the Deer Room over the office/restaurant. The room was comfortable, if a bit overfurnished and tight in getting around the room. The large bath was nice, as was the clever microwave and coffee maker area. They provided a large fan to cool things off during the day, and opening the windows at night made the room comfortable.... We liked the large kitchen area, the comfortable bed, the roomy shower, the cute front patio, the great tv channel on Glacier NP and the coffee maker. We did not like the uncomfortable sofa, the noisy ceiling fan over the bed, the tiny closet lack of an air conditioner, and the massive amount of bedding.

The pictures are a little deceiving as the lodge is near the highway. Some rooms/cabins are away and would be preferred. Ours was near highway and dusty. Traffic quiets down about eight so traffic noise not a problem. Internet not reliable in our room. This may sound a negative review but not intended to be so. The room was large... More

My husband and I had never been to Glacier National Park before so I got all my hotel info from TripAdvisor as I always do. Due to the late planning, all the Glacier Park lodgings were booked up so we had to rely on what showed availability online in the surrounding areas. The reviews I saw were very helpful in... More

This hotel is cute and the staff is nice. The wifi sucks unless you are in the lobby or restaurant. There is a nice path behind the buildings that takes you to a beaver pond and a llama on site. We ate dinner at the restaurant one night. Really good food for a reasonable price. We ended up hanging out... More

Thank you so much for your kind review. We are so glad that you enjoyed your stay with us. Living in a rural area means a limited bandwidth is available for internet service. Whilst our guests should not have an issue checking in with their emails, we do not have sufficient bandwidth to stream video or upload large files (eg... More

We stayed in the Merritt cabin for one night. It was exceptionally clean and very well stocked for cooking. We walked around the grounds and were impressed how family friendly the property was - games, playground equipment, etc.. Nice spot for a couple, but would especially recommend it for families with kids of any age. Convenient to the park and... More

We stayed in the main lodge, and in retrospect wish we'd thought to reserve a cabin. The room was pleasant enough, but cramped, dimly lit, and stuffy despite the fans. There was a nice porch, but because it was so close to the road the noise made it unpleasant. Housekeeping was indifferent. The lounge downstairs was lovely and comfortable, and... More

We are sorry that you did not enjoy your stay with us on this occasion. Our lodge rooms are located on the upper floor of our 100 year-old lodge and feature sloping ceilings with the original lodgepole pine beams exposed to retain the character of our property. Our in-house restaurant Oso's Smokin BBQ owns the restaurant and catering portion of... More

We stayed in #3 of the 4 plex of cabins. The staff was very helpful and friendly and let us check in extra early as we arrived around noon. The room was very clean and it was nice. However the shower was a joke. It barely tricked and it was so small you could barely turn around in it. The... More

Thank you so much for choosing us as your Glacier National Park vacation lodging. Our property includes the name 'historic' because many of the buildings on site are steeped in the local history of the area. Our lodge was built in the early 1900's and originally served as one of the first visitor centers to the park. It was moved... More

We reserved a lodge room (upstairs) for 3 nights. Conversation from the restaurant downstairs was so loud we could understand every word. Policy has changed since our last stay & breakfast is no longer included with a lodge stay. An extra $100 hold on your credit card was unexpected as well as a warning about a $250 charge for a... Thanks so much for your review of our property. Our business is growing rapidly and we do, therefore, make policy changes in order to keep up with this. For example, we stopped serving a complimentary continental breakfast a good few years ago. The reason for this was that we had expanded our lodging capacity to the point where we could... More
