We are a retired couple who enjoy road trips to out of the way sites. Wanted to see the Ross Creek Cesdars and started looking for a nice quite place to stay in the area and found Amber Bear on Trip Advisor. The reviews were good and the setting appeared to be something we would enjoy -- our expectations were exceeded in every way. The setting was a bit off the main road but with the signs it was easy to find and Google Maps can help if you need it. We were in the Blue Moo room and it was perfect for us, right off the resturant with easy access to our car. The room was spacious with a jetted tub, great shower, fireplace and views galore. Our only regret was that our schedule only called for 1 night it would have been great to have added a day to enjoy the property. Mike and Nancy "Cookie" were great hosts and the 3 meals we had were all delicious. Breakfast was included and was from their regular menu. Great place to stay!

I was there to shoot a wedding up the valley, but found the Amber Bear the most restful, recharging stay of my summer. Comfy bed and jetted tub healed my body and the 5 star restaurant recharged the rest of me.

When we arrived on a Saturday night, the restaurant was busy. Mike showed us to our room and was gone. Understandably. The next day we got to know the owners and they were as accommodating as could be. Room was one of the most comfortable & spacious as I have ever stayed in. The Inn owners Mike and Nancy will kill you with kindness. Mike even went as far as to give my wife & I a tour of the property on his RZR. Best value for miles & miles. And the breakfast OMG!!! Dont think twice about this most comfortable & relaxing place to stay. Also a casino if that's your thing.

My husband and I wanted a romantic getaway... This lovely place exceeded expectations! From the beautiful view's to the friendly inviting owners, we truly found a gem! Everything about our experience was memorable and far beyond better than we expected the food and atmosphere were EXCELLENT the portions were large, the food was delicious, live music played as we enjoyed our dinner, it was truly a magical stay! Places like this are rare to find anymore, we are already planning our next visit and are looking forward to coming back in the Spring to enjoy the hiking trails and scenic view's!! I would highly recommend this truly amazing place to anyone looking for true rest and relaxation!!

Friends from 4 different states and we all met in Montana for some camping and exploring. Was just coming form one lake campsite and headed to next. Our ever vigilant "Tail Gunner" saw the little sign for the Amber Bear as we had all missed it. Was lunch time and we were all ready for a sit down meal. Not knowing what to expect we headed down unknown roads to the facility. We were all taken back by the site of this beautiful place. Expecting a small mom and pop place where hunters stop. We were so pleasantly surprised by this beautiful location and establishment. We all seemed to have different desires but I can speak for my Elk acos that they were delicious. Everyone one of us 10 people enjoyed our meals immensly. The staff was great and very friendly. Was nice to hear the story of the Inns establishment and history. Without a doubt the next time this Texan is in Montana I will stop (if I can find again) ;) You will NOT be disillusioned if you stop and stay there!!!
