I've been to two retreats here, and both of them were great. Feathered Pipe has a long history of high-quality programming, and takes great care in selecting teachers to feature at the facility. I attended retreats with Lauren Walker and Sonia Azad. Both were amazing experiences. The ranch staff is genuinely focused on ensuring the comfort of the guests. They go out of their way to take care of you, show you around, and make sure you have a great experience. The grounds are impeccable, and the outdoor accommodations are unique and fun. I've stayed in a cool yurt with a skylight onto the Montana stars, and a sweet cabin with a loft. The bath house has a sauna and hot tub, which are perfect after a dip in the spring-chilled mountain lake. The body work and other wellness offerings are really special. I signed up for all of them, and was never disappointed. Did I say the food is FANTASTIC?…

I have been coming to Feathered Pipe for 19 years. It's a very welcoming spot for a yoga retreat with a very soothing ambiance, absolute privacy in a beautiful forest estate. Crystal Waters has taken over the direction of the camp. She brings a groundedness that embraces not only her mother's original organic earthiness but also a new sophistication (she spends over half the year in Europe). Highly recommended
I attended the week with Brant Secunda with a friend both of us open to new learning and a new experience. The retreat was amazing and everything we hoped for. I left feeling rejuvenated, connected, and curious. The connection of the Huichol Indians, taught through the shaman, and nature is spell bounding and beautiful. The magic of the Feathered Pipe Ranch is real. The ranch itself is ultimate peace. The people are extraordinary- it is the kind of place that children grow up in helping their parents and continue as adults. It is literally staffed with generations of family rich in love. And I would be remiss not to mention the food- AMAZING! Every ingredient is chosen with care and any dietary restriction you have will be accommodated. I will go back as often as I can. Thank you Brant, Marlyn, Darlene, and the Featherpipe family for an unforgettable experience. ❤️…
Feathered Pipe has it all..gorgeous location, complete serenity, beautiful log lodge, pretty pond, wildlife, healthy delicious meals 3x day, friendly helpful staff and weekly programs to educate and improve yourself. We attended Judith Lasater's wonderful yoga retreat but they only bring in impressive teachers so attend any that sound good to you. Go!!
My comments echo those of the other reviewers - Feathered Pipe ranch is a wonderful, peaceful oasis and an ideal setting for a yoga retreat. The grounds are beautiful, full of wildflowers and streams. The staff members are lovely, friendly and helpful. My room was comfortable and the meals were very good. The asana room is well equipped and the teacher was stellar. I highly recommend a week (or two!) to recharge. Also, if you can't bear to unplug, the Ranch has upgraded its wifi, which works quite well.
The most magical place on earth. I have been lucky enough to spend a glorious week the past two summers at The Feathered Pipe Ranch. From the staff, the accommodations, the retreats, the land, the lodge, the community, everything is perfect and will always hold the most special place in my heart. If you are looking for a rejuvenating, invigorating, mind altering experience then this is the place for you. I have only been gone three days and I’m already planning my return visit next summer. If you want the most epic vacation and yoga retreat center, Feathered Pipe Ranch is the place for you. Thank you to Eric, Winter, both Mike’s in the kitchen, Anne and all else I didn’t mention for bringing me so much joy and love.
Just such a special, special place. Such a beautiful setting for the beautiful work they are doing there. You can just feel the work and love put into every moment when you are there. I will 100% be returning!
Just returned from a fabulous week at the ranch. It was my third consecutive summer at the ranch. Our teacher, Nat Kendall taught us two hours every morning and two hours every afternoon. In between classes we had time to chat with new friends, swim in the small lake, canoe or kayak, keep a journal. There is a little library with a terrific selection of yoga reading material. We began the day with quiet sitting meditation and this was followed by mantra, pranayama, body scan, chanting and asana. Nat is a gifted musician and he provided a comfortable and encouraging environment in which everyone could share their voices to participate in chanting. Our voices blended daily as we practised a different chant each day accompanied by the drum and harmonium. Nat had a few teachers assisting him so every yogi had ample support as required in the multi-level classes. Each day there was something new and creative to keep our interest piqued! Nat has a special gift for making sure every participant feels included. If you travel singly, no worry. You will make many new friends in a short amount of time. The ranch has a variety of accommodations. You can sleep in a tent or a yurt. There is a modern bathhouse for those staying in tents or yurts. You can stay indoors in the lodge or the chalet. My room was in the chalet with a private bath. It was clean and comfortable with ample towels. Three nutritious meals full of healthy, fresh, organic fruits and vegetables kept us well fed. We loved the brownies for dessert. Special diets can be arranged with the kitchen staff. We had a great time roasting marshmallows over an open fire one evening. The staff is exemplary. All staff will work hard to make sure your every need is looked after. If you book the ranch shuttle you will be met the airport. I hope you decide to check out the online schedule on the Feathered Pipe website. Pick any program! They are all amazing. Top notch teachers will make your yoga experience inspiring and insightful. You will be surrounded by the beauty of nature everywhere you look. Your hosts will make you immediately feel right at home. Hospitality is warm, thoughtful and generous.…
What a magical place! Fabulous food, friendly staff, wonderful yoga and meditation, or just hanging out making friends with my fellow yogis. A great balance between simple accommodations (but with all the modern conveniences) and enjoying the majestic and breathtaking beauty of the mountains, flora and fauna, and for me the shimmering reflection of the teepee across the lake from the main Lodge. Tremendous massage therapists are another treat available. I have spent three week-long yoga retreats with the Veterans Yoga Project at Feathered Pipe Ranch - 2014, 2017, and September 2018. I can't wait for next year.
