Homestead Inn & Suites emerges as a favored choice for its spotless facilities and the warmth of its staff, with the quality of its breakfast often earning plaudits from guests. Reviewers repeatedly highlight the hotel's cleanliness and the comfort of the beds, contributing to its reputation for providing good value.
While the amenities, including reasonably priced vending and laundry services, are generally appreciated, a few guests have noted the need for more prompt breakfast item replenishment. Despite occasional comments about room size and accessibility, the overall atmosphere of clean and comfortable rooms with superior linens is well-regarded.

Detailed Reviews
An overnight stop on a road trip brought us here but we were warmly welcomed, and directed to a large, well-equipped room. The attendant also gave us dinner advice and chatted about our plans.
Location was fine, on the edge of the town but of the main road, and the place was well cared-for and clean. The price seemed reasonable.
It was a cold night, with not much happening in town, but we enjoyed a drive around the streets, railway and old town centre, and dinner at the recommended restaurant. I picked up a local newspaper from a slot machine. The town is at the northern end of the Crow Reservation, and community spirit and resilience was evident in what I read.
It's great country, and a place that probably deserved a longer visit. Hopefully next time...

…our expectations! After driving all day, we were pleasantly surprised when we walked in! The western décor is entertaining – a black and white picture of lots of boots on the wall made us smile. We were wrong to be anything other than open-minded. Spectacularly clean and had a terrific, clean smell. We always wonder when assigned to the first floor. So happy to be wrong! I admired the ‘sanitized’ sticker on the door, before entering. We really like the sink being separated from the commode, enabling us to prepare for departure at the same time. The cute gal that checked us in was very energetic and informative, recommending things to do and places for dinner. We had a splendid time that evening, at the 4 Aces – wonderful food, fun atmosphere, and met some of the locals. We also checked out the casino nearby, walking distance from the hotel. A veerrry comfortable bed was soon calling us – early to bed and early to rise, we had another long day of driving ahead of us. The breakfast bar the next morning was very spacious – large enough for your group or whole family – or even pleasantly social distancing. The serving dishes were well placed and offered lots of room to load a plate - not like being crowded in a corner, waiting in line for other patrons to make their selections. Also had plenty to offer anyone’s finicky palate – biscuits and gravy, sausage and bacon, pastries and cereal, and fruit cups to take with you for a snack later. We will definitely stay again!

Newly remodeled and relatively comfortable. I have stayed there in the past for several days at a time and would do so again. Rooms are clean, bed is comfy and everything works. I would suggest that room heat be turned on at least at a minimal level in the winter as temperatures can get in the sub-zero range. A room with no heat late at night is very uncomfortable. Also, the sink area is small with a minimum of counter space and there is no place to hang washcloths or face towels. A hanger or towel bar on one or both sides of the sink would be relatively inexpensive and extremely useful.

We loved our stay in the Homestead Inn. We will be happier when a more diverse breakfast becomes available. We were there for a school reunion and found that the location was very accessible to all scheduled activities. We used the lobby and the breakfast room for informal gatherings.

First - there are not many choices to stay in Hardin, MT. This place was clean and convenient to the freeway. The staff was very friendly. They had suspended the breakfast buffet while we were there and instead provided a pre-bagged take out breakfast which was so-so. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. They gave us a room right by the office and front door so we heard a lot of noise. Make sure to get a room away from the lobby to avoid this. This is an older hotel that, although it was clean, could use a thorough updating. We would stay here again.

From the conversation with staff members after we booked to a fully stocked continental breakfast, we were very satisfied with our stay. One night, 2 pets, late arrival. All we wanted was clean and easy. The rooms are CLEAN! Maintenance sprays before each new guest, housekeeping uses additional deep cleaning tools (I saw pics of UV light and a fogger, but don't know for sure). Everything looked, smelled and felt clean. Everyone was VERY nice. There's a great dog area outside as well. We have written this one down to visit again as we drive through Hardin every fall.

The bed in this hotel was very comfortable. We had a room with a king size bed and was considered a suite as it had a separate, divided room with a couch, chair and tv. The window lock in this room (134) needs to be replaced. The hook device on the sliding part of the window is broken off and stuck into the receiving end of the window. A stick in the window track is present but is not the most safe way to secure a window as it can be easily defeated. Covid has forced them into having a brown bag type breakfast which is fruit and muffins.

Thank you for your review. We're glad you liked your comfortable bed. I have asked our manager to inspect the window lock so we can fix it right away. We provide wooden rods in all of our first floor window tracks as an extra precaution. We finally have regulatory clearance and are preparing to resume our breakfast buffet. Thank you for choosing Homestead Inn and Suites. We hope to see you again soon. Safe travels!

Homestead Inn & Suites was fine. The rooms were clean and roomy.
It was a little inconvenient that there was no elevator, so hauling suitcases and bags from the car to the second floor up the stairs was cumbersome.
We put the "Do not disturb" sign on our door, but housekeeping came in anyway and took away used towels. They took away the bath mat, so we didn't have one for the second night. We would have preferred that they not enter our room at all until we left (we stayed two nights).
Breakfast was okay, but nothing special. The only yogurt available was sweetened with sucralose.
But the front desk staff was helpful, there was a place to refill my water bottle, and the drinks in the vending machine were very reasonably priced. And there is a nice supermarket right down the street.

We stayed here the second night of a 6 day road trip from Spokane WA. Location was great. Close to the freeway and easy to find. Even though it is close to the freeway, the room was incredibly quiet, with no road noise. We had this problem at other hotels we stayed in on this trip. Pizza Hut, McDonalds and Dairy Queen all within walking distance. Check in was fast, with friendly staff. They gave us a map of the location of our room, which was helpful. Not all places do this. Comfortable beds, clean and cozy room which also had a fridge. Air conditioner was quiet, and kept us very comfortable, as it was scorching hot outside. It did not keep us awake with loud humming. Breakfast was not available at the time we were there due to Covid restrictions. I believe they will be offering it soon. The hotel did offer coffee, juice, fruit and muffins. The breakfast area was well kept, with good space and comfortable to spend some time in. We would definitely stay again and recommend to others.

The staff at Homestead were all super sweet and awesome. They quickly fixed the one minor problem that I had. The only weird thing was when I left for work one day and came back to the giant picture behind the bed missing. Not a huge deal, just weird. Rooms are clean, though, and breakfast is decent. I got put at the end of a hall so I loved how quiet my room was. There is also very good lighting in the room which is a bonus because I am a reader! This isn't anything fancy, but for Hardin it is definitely one of the two nicer places to stay. The room comes with a decent sized fridge and microwave which made it easy to store and warm up meals. There are also a couple of restaurants within walking distance. The reason for four stars instead of five is the weird picture incident and then the drain in the bathroom sink didn't have a stopper so I was worried about dropping items down the drain. The room, though, was clean which is the biggest thing for me. I refused housekeeping the entire week I was there so I don't have any comments about that. The staff, again, were all super nice and welcoming. They always made sure that I was greeted and that every guest had what they needed which included showing me where the hot water was to make oatmeal at breakfast (because before coffee, I shouldn't be allowed to make breakfast since I am still in a grog and can't read). There are also quite a few personal hygiene items that are available for free at the front desk which makes it super convenient if you forget something. The doors also lock at night time so the hotel is extra secure which my husband appreciates so that he knows I am safe.
