We had made reservations well in advance to coming to Gardiner and I would highly recommend, you do, since there were no vacancies in town I could see. Check in was very nice and we got room 101, which has no view to the mountains (note: so do rooms 102, 103 and 104); we had a table and chairs outside the room and enjoyed sitting outside on a cold(ish) and wet evening (over night it snowed and closed a number roads in the park). The views from the second floor are amazing! Our room was basic, but very clean and spacious (be aware that the floors slant a bit in the room), with two very comfortable queen beds. There is coffee, tea and cider in the lobby, but no breakfast. Parking is plenty. We did not get to see the 'resident elk', but were warned that she might be right at the front door in the morning and to use caution. The hotel is in walking distance to everything in Gardiner and we would stay again next time.

My only complaint is that the hotel has no one staffed to help after 9pm. We had a tour group above us that invited several others into their room and was very loud partying, stomping the floors, and scooting the kitchen chairs around constantly until 2am. This was only one night of our 4 night stay, however it would have been nice to have staff there when we were dealing with the noisy guests. When you tell guests no one is going to be around after 9pm, its an invite to do as you please. For the price of the hotel room you wouldn't expect that all of us losing 4 hours of sleep before taking the family out to hike and enjoy the park would have been a concern. I suggest having a policy that no outside guests are allowed in rooms, and setting quiet hours for your guests. The room itself was clean, comfortable, and the kitchenette area had everything we needed. The balcony had an amazing view of the mountains and the market was just 1 block away. There was plenty of parking for their guests. You're a stranger in a foreign land and on your own after 9pm though. If this is important to you look for 24 hour front desk hours when booking.

We thoroughly enjoyed our 3 night stay here. I'm especially glad we booked a room with kitchen facilities so we could make our breakfast and lunches before heading to Yellowstone. We had perfect weather but our thoughts are with you with all the recent problems. A very helpful person, I think her name was Corrin, gave us all sorts of information on finding the laundry and grocery facilities. Couldn't have been nicer. Our room on the top floor was great because it was quiet. There is an elevator which was good for my husband's mobility issues. Also enjoyed the resident elk in the parking lot.

Stayed here after leaving the north gate of Yellowstone. The hotel was pretty basic. It was clean and is on the edge of town. The view from the rooms is great and there were elk walking in the street right in front of the hotel, which was awesome. It was a good stay.

This place was a breathe of fresh air. Clean, spacious, friendly staff, great view, close to everything. The price was not bad compaired to other places we stayed while in Yellowstone. Neat little town with a few quiant restaurants. Great when going to Mammoth Falls, Tower Falls, and Lamar Valley.

This was the perfect place for our visit to Yellowstone. Just a couple minutes to the north entrance. Several restaurants and a grocery within walking distance. A fabulous mountain view from the front door with tables and chairs available to sit outside your door and watch elk grazing in the front yard of the hotel. The room was clean, nicely furnished, spacious with a well equipped kitchenette. The staff was friendly and helpful. Just a really great experience! If we ever make it back to Yellowstone, this is where we will stay.

Amazing place, stayed with wife and parents in one room. The room was spacious and immaculate. We had a kitchen with everything necessary for making a quick breakfast (fridge, stove, microwave, toaster and all needed plates, utensils, pots/pans). When returning from a long day, outside private table and chairs and an AMAZING view. Had elk peacefully walking through the property and fortunately didn’t get to meet the grizzly walking through the back of the property… but no worries, they have a lot of lighting and protection. 100% would return.

We stayed here for 3 nights while visiting Yellowstone. The room was very nice, clean and big & comfy. We had a well equipped kitchen. The towel exchange was very easy. The views are amazing. Large parking lot, never had any issues with parking. Every evening returning to our room we were greeted by deer & elk. The only thing I missed was not having laundry facilities. Definitely would stay here again.

This is a great place to stay if you’re visiting Yellowstone as it is close to the North Entrance and Mammoth. We had a room with a kitchenette which ended up coming in real handy as the restaurants had long waits so we went to the market down the street and bought stuff to make dinners in the room. The kitchen had two burners, a refrigerator, and microwave along with pots and dishes. They had coffee in the lobby. We had two queen beds and a table with chairs… plenty of room. We often saw elk walking around outside and we were able to walk to the market and into the main town area. One night we sat out on the balcony and had hors d’oeuvres and watched for elk. They also had good WiFi which is rather scarce in Yellowstone!!! If you are a light sleeper get a room on the top floor as we did have some noise from above our second floor room.
