Basic room, nothing fancy, could hear people on both sides thru walls. They have some units that look like duplexes, they might be better. Staff was pleasant. Needed to ask for Ice - icemaker not available to us directly. We could walk to several restaurants.

Good people and a good nights sleep in a clean and quiet room. Who could ask for more in a very small town. There are enough places to eat and did I mention the scenery? The town has a western vibe. We will return.

East Glacier, on the East side of the railway tracks, is a very, very poor community. There are two restaurants and a small grocery store in town. Everyone in those stores are very nice and friendly. However the town is in a sad state of affairs. This hotel is most likely the best you will get in East Glacier on... More

When the few other park lodge rooms were full, we took the only open reservation I could find. That was well over a month ahead of time, but the East Glacier area has few choices. Glacier Park Lodge is nearby but I suspect it was full of group bookings. I would recommend trying there first. Dancing Bears is on a... More

Two of us reserved a room in the main motel area, but due to a cancellation, we ended up in the private cabin. Gorgeous wooden spiral staircase and charming abode welcomed us. We cooked our meals there for 3 nights and had the most relaxing stay possible. Breakfast snacks were available all day in the lobby until 10 pm. Couldn't... More

It's a quaint motel undergoing upgrades but it fits perfectly in the woodsy surrounding of East Glacier Park. The owner/concierge is friendly and helpful. The room was clean and large. Bathroom small but recently redone and adequate.

Dancing Bears Inn is an old building which is accessed via a dirt road just across from the railway line. There are individual small parking spaces outside the building so if a pick up or something similar parks in the next space, you may get blocked in. The room we had was off a corridor with one window looking onto... More

We spent a couple nights at Dancing Bears Inn after arriving from the east on Amtrak. Very short walk to a clean and comfortable room, with healthy breakfast choices, good coffee. Owner John arranged a ride for us to Two Medicine Lake and even loaned us bear spray (which we did not have to use)! One of a kind place,... More

We stayed there one night after visiting Glacier. Rooms were very clean and well equipped with AC, microwave, refrigerator. Bathroom was immaculate with towels that were thicker and nicer than many provided by chain hotels we've stayed at. Bed was very comfy. Staff was very friendly and helpful, especially John, who helped us get a discount to our room rate.... More
