Very convenient to the eat entrance of glacier. The best part was the bakery and restaurant in the downstairs part of the hostel. It was nice to grab coffee, breakfast, and then lunch to go before heading out to Glacier NP. Everything was very reasonably priced and freshly made. Amazing view from the top porch! My only complaint was the thin...

My daughter and I stayed here while visiting Glacier National Park in June. The motels in the area of Glacier Park were very overpriced and was happy to find the reasonable Brownies Hostel. Here you'll find a laundry mat, showers, grocery store, bakery, & restaurant next door and a breezy front porch or balcony to relax. The hostel smells of...

The hostel was incredibly noisy. Enough so that we were able to hear people whisper in rooms beside us; along with people walking through the hall in the morning (a nightmare..). It also felt like the building itself was on a slant. Wifi did not work in our room, and was limited to the common area. It was fairly clean,...

Given the price, this is a great option. Had a nice, cozy private room next to the women's bathroom - they're not joking about the paper-thin walls so, as they suggest, bring ear plugs or stay in a room not next to the bathroom. People were friendly. Great location for our tour into the Park.

I enjoyed my 10 day stay at this rustic hostel in Glacier NP overall but it has drawbacks. When the temps go from a nice warm summer to rainy, chilly & damp, the hostel also becomes rather chilly! The woman's dorm was freezing my last couple nights :( and the showers just aren't hot enough to compensate for the chilled...

I came to Brownies off the Amtrak and was hoping to find hiking partners and someone with a car. Found both within a half an hour. This was my favorite hostel on my vacation. Just backpackers talking about about hiking. Met some great people there. Great base for Glacier hikers.

A treat to find a nice hostel in the US! Just outside the beautiful glacier national park you will be welcome to a comfortable and cheap stay if you are in the area and are not camping. Downstairs theere is a great cafe and desserts.

I stayed for three nights in the women's dorm room. The kitchen is well-equiped and the staff does a great job of keeping everything clean (hard to do in an older building). It's a bike-friendly place and I appreciated being able to work on my bike out back.

I stayed at Brownie from 8/27-8/30 and truly enjoyed my stay and the people i met more so. The place was easy to find along Hwy 49 with ample parking. The fact that a bakery/deli is right downstairs made it super convenient to pickup a snack before i hit the road or take a easy stroll downstairs to get an...

This place does have character! We stayed in the "Quad Room" which had a bunkbed with double on the bottom, single on top, and another single bed. The weather was exceptionally hot and our hosts made sure the fans were on ahead of our arrival so it was as cool as possible, and it definitely cooled off nicely in the...

Welcome to Brownies, our quaint, rustic hostel in East Glacier Park, just 8 miles from the Two Medicine entrance to Glacier National Park. The historic 1908 log building houses a bakery, cafe, deli and general store on the main floor and a hostel on the second. Come to rest after a long day of hiking, make some new friends, and wake up each morning to the smell of fresh-baked cinnamon rolls and lattes downstairs. There are men and women's dorms and three types of private rooms available: rooms with 1 queen bed which sleep 2; a room with two twin beds; and two family rooms which sleep four.
