My mother and I stayed at Brownies Hostel for two nights in the beginning of September in a private room. I chose to stay at this hostel because of its proximity to Glacier National Park and aside from camping, it was next most affordable accommodation...More
This hostel is different from most. It's almost 100 years old, made of wood, and is best suited to serious backpackers/hikers. The rest of us should probably avoid it. Bathrooms will be an issue for most people as there are one for each sex and...More

Hi Brownies East Glacier Park Hotel Glacier National Park
I'm a female Brit travelling to Montana in June and would like to stay in a hostel for around a week. I'd like a private quiet room. As I'm alone I would like to stay somewhere where the guests mingle and there are maybe organised tours and stuff. Also need to be near a store as I won't have a car. Is this the place? Any advice appreciated, Natalie

Hello! Yes, you've found just the right place. Brownies is a friendly, rustic hostel where you'll find fellow travelers to share stories with. Downstairs from the hostel we operate a deli, bakery, cafe, and shop with some provisions. You'll find the answers to many more questions toward the bottom of the "Hostel" page on our website (TripAdvisor does not allow me to post the URL or email address). There's also information for travelers who won't be renting a car. Reservations can be made online using a credit card. We look forward to seeing you in June!
