Stayed two nights at this Hostel in a private room. room is charming with a nice rustic feel, solid log bed frame. unfortunately the store is closed for the season (season ends end of sep) so most of the stores, restaurants in the area are boarded up for the winter.. which is unfortunate. the room itself is very cold.. there... My mother and I stayed at Brownies Hostel for two nights in the beginning of September in a private room. I chose to stay at this hostel because of its proximity to Glacier National Park and aside from camping, it was next most affordable accommodation option close to the park. Overall, I enjoyed my stay there and it provided what... More

This hostel is different from most. It's almost 100 years old, made of wood, and is best suited to serious backpackers/hikers. The rest of us should probably avoid it. Bathrooms will be an issue for most people as there are one for each sex and the men's was crowded and uncomfortable. As others have noted, the floorboards creak and the... More

Just a few weeks prior to our trip to Glacier NP I was able to snag not only a room at Brownies but a PRIVATE room. My travel buddy and I enjoyed a room with 2 twin beds. The hostel was clean, comfortable, very affordable and within close proximity (walking distance) to several eateries. One of the best was the... More

Brownies is an old lodge converted to a hostel and bakery. Paper thin walls lent interest to others conversations. The bakery items were great and reasonably priced. The family room we stayed in was excellent, tilting squeaky floor and all. If yo need basic overnight acomodations at an excellent price then Brownies is the place.

Brownies is a great option for those visiting Glacier NP on a budget. The location is great for East Glacier access (where we spent most of our time) and is very close to the park's Two Medicine campground (and about an hour from the Many Glacier site), which helps if you're trying to reserve a spot. We stayed at Brownies... More

We had been looking for somewhere to stay in east glacier as part of our 3 week trip through wyoming and montana but the cost of accommodation in this area is very high understandably due to the proximity of Glacier National Park and in particular the stunning two medicine valley. We found Brownies' website just 2 days before our stay... More

I wanted to stay at a hostel for the experience but since we were a party of 5 we opted for the family room. It was rustic but very clean. Staff was very pleasant and everyone seemed respectful with keeping the noise level at a minimum. Be aware the walls are super thin and bathroom is tight. If you aren't... More

What a cute hostel! The staff and the guests were wonderful. Everyone was so friendly and approachable and eager to help. I stayed in a bunk bed in the women's dorm and they already had everything I needed (sheets, towel, quilts) waiting for me on my bed. The large lockers provided were great. The bathrooms are shared and are very... More

I stayed alone for 2 nights in room seven and was delighted with the cleanliness and comfortable mattress. Of course, best of all are the different people. A full sized kitchen and common room were fully stocked with everything I needed. There were female singles and families from all over the world getting along in 2 showers, 2 toilets, and... More

Welcome to Brownies, our quaint, rustic hostel in East Glacier Park, just 8 miles from the Two Medicine entrance to Glacier National Park. The historic 1908 log building houses a bakery, cafe, deli and general store on the main floor and a hostel on the second.
