The Sundowner is one of the old style motels with very little extra other than a fairly clean room with a decent bed. The staff are great and try to accommodate your needs. Pets and smoking rooms are available. Room was ok clean but bathroom door wouldn't close and latch properly. For less than $60 per night it is quite...

We stated here for three days as a base for exploring the local area. Great staff, comfortable rooms and close to pretty much everything. Within hours of Yellowstone, a calc mine, a lake that has fossils on the shoreline and three ghost towns. Stay here ask for tips of places too see and enjoy your stay.

I had reservations at the Motel 6 in Dillon, but they were so rude on the phone I decided to check with the Sundowner to see if they had any vacancies. Thankfully, they did so I cancelled my other reservation and stayed here instead. The staff is friendly, the room was big and clean. I was very happy with my...

The room seemed clean enough, but there was a BULLET hole in the window!! When asked the manager told me it had been there for 2 years. I think this says something since it hasn't been replaced! However, the staff was nice and did refund my money immediately. After that, we got out of dodge.

We can deal with a price conscious "classic" small town motel, but have a hard time with carpets that haven't been vacuumed in a while and so full of room deorderizer one can hardly breath. Left the window open dispute hot summer temps, but room still cloying after return from dinner. Sitting here with door open, wondering how we will...

We'd been hearing about the Taco Bus since Twin Bridges, this motel shares a parking lot. How convenient. The room was nice and big. We always get a first floor and we had to wait while the maid got her 'stuff out of it' which seemed a little odd. But all went well, and the room was quiet even though...

Do you prefer an extremely rude disturbance by the staff during your stay? The bed linens resemble and feel like something maybe you've had around your house for twenty years. The bath is full of rust and looks like they went to linens n' things to put it together... Thirty years ago. There was no extra lock on the door....

As others have said, this isn't a fancy motel but the front desk staff is friendly, the room is clean and adequate and the bed was comfy. It's convenient to the restaurants in town. It's a good value.

This is our motel of choice in Dillon. It is a 60s ish vintage motel right on the main street of town only a couple of blocks from all the restaurants and the Safeway is about a block away. It isn't fancy, but I don't need or want fancy. The price is very reasonable, they do give AAA discount, the...

Called from Virginia City, managed to snag the last room available for the night. Price was good. This is a two story sort of place, older, but well kept. Wifi, but no frig or coffeemaker in the room.
